How do you guys like this layout, thinking about having this one for default layout type, then work on a portrait mode so its easier to play those games you use both the dpad and the A B X Y buttons, but a lot of games have the dpad and ABXY buttons linked and use the screen...
But we need both just in case :)

How about a button that cycles through different modes?

Fullscreen top window -> Fullscreen bottom window -> Splitscreen top and bottom windows

A bunch of DS games dont take full advantage of the dual screens. So one is up there and is waisted space anyway. This method will give you the option to choose what you are viewing though.

If you know how to build from source, then you can install the SDK and build the .deb file and try...

in this post i explained where to get it, you need the linux one, and build it inside the SDK.

it would be awesome if we could get the accelerated graphics mode working by taking advantage of maemo's OpenGL ES 2.0 API :D

I talked with the creator of Desmume on IRC a while back and he said that it is shouldn't be too hard to make the 3D interface work with OpenGL ES ;)

Please also hildonize the Menu... so that it will be in the titlebar and not as an extra line on screen.
