Repository is so slow. I think people don't know what they're downloading. I haven't got a chance to grab it yet, but it seems like the netbook image didn't have qt in it.

Previous maemo releases we had to wait for Nokia to release firmware packages, development for Meego is done completely in the open. This is a lot bigger than simply having no Ovi store and no fancy UI available on day 1. If you want something that simply works and has 1000's of apps eye candy etc you will probably be waiting till end of the year. There is a May release that will have UX packages and another release in October. |
