Re: Brazilian Maemo users, please say hello

Hello, i´m Germano, from Porto Alegre - RS - Brazil. I´m 7 years old Network Administrator and bought my N900 in the middle of dec/09. Since them, i´m a happy guy :) I owned basically nokia, nokia, and more nokias... E71, E61i, E62, 6265, 6225 and 3320. I think there´s more N900 Brazilian users. But they probably don´t know about maemo.org.

Best Regards,

Germano.

Does anyone know if and how to put the n900 to Brazilian Portuguese? I'm using it in Portuguese from Portugal, but some terms are weird.

Hi Romenique.

I've a N900 too and to connect perfectly on GPS you need to do two things before:

First: Connect your N900 on internet and on Ovi you need to download the latest maps version (Brazil) to your N900.

Second: Connect your GPS and your internet in N900, wait few seconds and the GPS will connect.

If that doesn't works, restart and try again.

Obs: N900 GPS sometimes just works with internet connection.

Add me to that counting!
Automation & Control Engineer, Criciuma, Santa Catarina.

I truly enjoy my n900, although I share the common despise everybody around here is getting towards nokia. My current plans relating to phones include becoming an "old school" "retro" n900 user 5 years in the future from now. (lol)

Linux @ (home, work, phone).

(Seems to me that translating things to Portuguese here doesn't make ANY sense since the whole community here uses English.. leave that to that *****ty maemo/n900 orkut community over there!)
