Do you mind explaining step 3?

I have an 8gb card, so I should use 6100... but do I put in all the , and whatnot?

I'd really appreciate instructions on what to type into xterminal and be done with it =)

Thanks!

how long is the installation?

mine's stuck at "formatting /dev/mmcblk1p2 (ext3)"

That was stated in the first post!

Exit x-terminal, reboot, and choose normal startup
Then go here:

and follow steps 1 through 5

Then in x-terminal type: nitdroid

There you go

All is smooth on my Sandisk 16 GB (used the numbers 14100)

You can only get a limited amount of apps at the moment, think its something at googles end! No phone no mic and no dedicated menu button yet. But it looks great!

do I just format sd or is there a different way to get rid of dualboot?

Thanks!

Step 1: Partitioning

sfdisk:bad input

/home/user # umount /dev/mmcblk1p1

Re: Nitdroid today, auto-installer and 1st impression

Well, I installed Nitdroid the other day using the Autoinstaller and it is not very difficult.

Here is the step by step instruction.

It is recommended that you disable the 'extra-devel' in maemo, as the installer from that repo has errors. For more info visit this thread.

:)

Use the autoinstaller and it will partition for you automatically.
