Yes, I did. I wonder what kind of capabilities are supported in those libraries. Reader mode, P2P, card emulation?

Not for long. NFC is at last coming to the western world, and it is coming fast. Expect an explosion of NFC services all over Europe within the next 24 months.

i'm not sure what you are asking..........?

What I was getting at was, no one can tell the hardware from the software packages. As far as you know, that package could just be for compatibility.

How do we know which packages are installed out of the box, and which ones the developer or tester had installed themselves?

what don't you understand?

Omap3 is an antique.

While an A8 cpu fabbed at 45nm and clocked at 1GHz may provide acceptable performance when running Harmattan it is grossly out of kilter with consumer expectations of a high-end smartphone with a presumed n900 retail price, i.e. circa £450.
...

How do you know about OMAP3? IMHO it will definitely be OMAP4.

I hope it's easy to throw out and replace with a real browser.

I reject all this excitement on the grounds that I bought an N900, don't really want to pay for the successor, and I don't like other phones that I might actually like out-penis-ing my phone.

Then in order not to get too excited...i would suggest "not" going across to "Nokia N9 Teaser - is this meego or harmattan?"

Tempers are already frayed there and the next step is fisticuffs and poking fingers in each other's eyes...
