hello,

a question to those who have the N950

is it allowed to sell the device to someone else (eg at ebay)?

i mean, if you have it and then the N9 comes out and you will do all develop things with the N9, what do you do with that device? can you (or I) get in trouble if you sell it to me and i place it at ebay?

People who have been sent N950s do not own the devices; Nokia have loaned the N950s out, and the devices remain Nokia's property. The loaner N950s even have "NOT FOR SALE" printed directly on their casings.

When developers finish with the N950s, they are to return the devices to Nokia.

Product Load Agreement sets a fine in case device is lost or not returned to Nokia. The fine is substantial and can be compared to a cost of a new high-end mobile device. I'm sure you would also get to ignore list for further product loans. :)

No, you cannot.
It is loaned to the developers, on the condition on doing useful stuff on it.
So Nokia (Or MeeGo.com, I am not sure) could ask for it to be sent back.

not I.

I am quite happy with the N9 given the polycarbonate body and curved amoled screen.

Genius marketing really, calling it polycarbonate instead of the commonly used name "plastic" ;-)

Well we are talking about the consumers who harp on about "face time" and until recently "the ability to multi-task on a smartphone"
Have to embrace the marketing, the smartphone world and world in general would be a very different place if people didn't lap up that kind of marketing.
