But why? It isn't as if there is a shortage of Android phones to choose from.

In addition, Android probably wouldn't run nearly as well on the N9 as the native OS does. You will lose the cool swipe UI and the nice way it handles multitasking. Basically most of the things that distinguish the N9 would go away except its looks.

So in the end all you will have is a nice-looking but somewhat under-powered Android phone. Seems like a lot of trouble for little reward.

if i wanted android id keep my sgs2. meego harmattan is better for me.

If N9 has a better camera. But it lacks HD recording at 1080P and despiting having Carl Zeisis Optics in this 8MP Mega Shoutout. Galaxy S2 turned out to be runner. So what all good features does N9 camera offers over Galaxy 2 camera?

I know Meego is a superior OS compared to Android. But when we compare camera its pure hardware base.

As for camera, doesnt the SW dictate a lot? I mean, consider the N900 stock camera app to what it came to be, iirc it was quite a difference?

Lol, it IS cheap plastic if my experience with Samsung wave is anything to go by. S2 feels flimsy, which means wouldnt last long.
Any phone device that dont feel solid when I hold it will bye2 rather fast in my hands. :p:p
