Let's hope WP8 will change that (personally I don't see it)

Nokia went down because Elop stupidly announced the death of Symbian..Even if he was shutting down Symbian, he could have done it gracefully and phased it out slowly without yelling it out..maybe he thought that the exodus from Symbian would move to WP, which didn't really happen..

Sold it for USD 200..

3.5 inches screen , 640x320 resolution.
yes , it was fantastic.

it even destroyed the SE P910. plus it had radio, mmc, emulators, a great loudspeaker etc.

only drawbacks were the abscence of wifi (ok, it was rare those days) but mostly the ultra weak cpu (150mhz).

the device was a snail at times. hanging and freezing frequently.

I had three of those! I love it!

After the 7710 it was N91 & N95-2 all the way for me.

But the 7710 OS (S90) had the best looking and smartest UI at that time.

A little bit off topic, I am a fans of symbian and swipe ui.
The most important reason I didn't choose hildon or Fremantle is portrait and one hand navigation... But I agree n900 is a great internet tablet or development device.
