Ubuntu Core + Xfce4 = ridiculously excellent idle times on my Pandaboard. From a performance standpoint, Unity on ARM blows.

Window 8 RT is going to be a big flop a doodle. I want a tablet with full windows. is that too much to ask for.

Windows 8 will sell because even Windows Vista/ME sold.

Windows 8 phone, i wanna see how that does, especially since Nokia is trying to get Microsoft into doing some good things like bringing file sharing over bluetooth! How archaic. NFC w/ payments. camera with OIS, wireless charging, huge screen and whole 50 grams of bloat.

Their will be tablets with full Windows if you open your eyes. RT plays its part if you simply want the tablet as media player and browsing.

Check out surface pro and iconia w700.

i consider myself a heavy excel user plus switching between documents and multiple folders in between and also relied on the non-obstructive start menu to search my files. Looking at Windows 8, i'm afraid that this heavily distrupt my work flow, especially start screen that tries to start menu, why in the world would they think that it's a good idea to replace it with that is beyond me, the desktop and tablet mode should be exclusive environment. Now the desktop experience is disjointed.

Just when you thought microsoft had released windows 8, its time for windows 8 mobile. Nokia/Samsung/htc have all announced the devices. Its now time for the software...
