Hariainm, it's not the Maps app that was updated, but the maps themselves. Check for updates from inside Maps.

Well I would say the server must have been over-loaded considering WP and Symbian phones are also eligible for the update around the same time... Even if you don't do the deletion, the system will actually download all the maps anew and delete all the older maps so doing it yourself is not much of a difference...

To get the update i just uninstalled all my maps and then loaded again the ones I wanted. Now have the latest map version.

version number issue?

this what i always do:
after downloading the updated maps, copy all the maps data in cities/diskcache to PC, then delete it, open the Maps app, download some maps data straight from the map view, from here you can check that the version number is already changed, then put back the copied maps data files to the cities/diskcache.

still map data 0.2.45.109 here on my N9... getting frustrated... phone still does not show upgrades... probably I have to do it manually, so I will do some search on this forum...

AFAIK only indirectly. In maps app settings set to "online" and download them as you go or scroll/zoom over the area that you want to be download and cached.

map data for all contries updated for MeeGo and Symbian :)
