3V to 5V DC-DC Converter Step Up Boost Module

i will soldering today, later, and test it if there work better than the pulolo´s Step-Up regulators. Hope it will not so hot like the pulolo boards

Hmm, I did not receive those boards yet. But please tell how they perform at 1 A :)

So, yesterday I tried out the new board. It works very well, I would say this better than the Pulolo boards. It is also up to slightly hot from little bit hot. But not as hot as in the Pulolo boards.

It charges continuously with 4.85v and 800mA. When the battery arrives at 3.04v, the board stops with the charge. He tried it anyway further boost, but only up to 2.52v, then the discharge protection stopt the charging.

Next step is to integrate a charge protection so that the battery is not more than 3.8 v loaded.

Good work!

There are a lot of chips than can manage charging of lipo's and li-ions.

lipo charger, chip also available separately
http://www.adafruit.com/products/259

even with qi wireless carging option intergrated (just chip):

maybe you could even replace your chip with a relais/transistor triggered by the V33 output!

sounds interessting, but the board is little bit to big, but adafruit have a micro version:

http://www.ebay.de/itm/Adafruit-Mirc...item27dd61008e

than soldering a micro USB port, too

i will check where i cant find cheap in germany.

Exp-tech has it in stock:

price is reasonable imho.

btw, very nice project!

if you want to design a pcb with a charging and 5v regulator on board, let me know! the chips -almost the only part on those charging/regulator/booster boards- are very cheap!

sounds good, it will be nice to have only one PCB... maybe compact, too :)

i buy now two of adafruit micro usb lipo charger. i will test it :)
