Only a suspicion but did you preview the post with the attachment link as IMG tag or not?
Maybe that is even necessary "to tell the server to keep it"?

I am doing this since Juice introduced the change :confused:

It worked for me in the Thread preview but as you can see not afterwards.

at the moment it works. Question is how long. On the previous post I also thought that it works.

This time I peviewed the image in a new tab.

I did. Posted at 8:12 and it still shows at 8:44.

Both Felfrosh's posts used the URL tag, not IMG, and the attachments disappeared.

A few failed experiments later, it seems the shortest sequence that works is:

1. Upload attachment
2. Open the uploaded attachment in another tab
3. Copy the URL from the new tab's address bar
4. Remove attachment, file still stays on server.
5. Embed the picture using the IMG tag (there is an icon in the message editor)
6. Post

Maybe shorten step 2 and 3 with:
right-click the highlighted picture/attachment name and copy the Url

OK next try. But it's strange I used the img tags to post the pics. But pichlo tells me that I didn't. So maybe copying the attachment url helps, even so I think I have done that before:

Sorry, I misspoke. The picture is still there. I must have been asleep when I was posting the above.

Update!
The picture is still displayed on the same PC and in the same browser it was posted on in the first place, but gone on two other PCs, another browser on the same PC or even the same browser after clearing the cache.

So... the topic is not closed :mad:
