Re: Secret Exit to release games for N900
Passed the first 3 levels without further problems, the game seems to run almost the same regardless of overclock, so probably best to run it without (the phone gets warmer).

Re: Secret Exit to release games for N900
had to download it twice as first time installation failed but worth every penny, visually stunning!
|
Re: Secret Exit to release games for N900
I'm thinking - maybe its better rootfs to have less than 40MB free before install, because then the app manager downloads the package in the MyDocs cache folder (That was the case with the Sygic maps at least, didn't test with anything else bigger).

Now it won't start the download. again... X.x edit: Now the .deb was 10 times in my download manager?! edit2: now it seems to download it... |
Re: Secret Exit to release games for N900
Hmm, then maybe it was a special option for Sygic Maps because of the size. Maybe Secret Games should look into this...

Re: Secret Exit to release games for N900
still getting not enough room on the disc to save /var/temp/..... zenfile.deb
|
Re: Secret Exit to release games for N900
The deb is about 47MB, make sure you have at least 57MB (my free space was around that number) before download.
|
Re: Secret Exit to release games for N900
i have 8.7 gb available.80mb rootfs
|
Re: Secret Exit to release games for N900

|

|
Re: Secret Exit to release games for N900
Run as root
Code:
apt-get clean Code:
df -h |
Re: Secret Exit to release games for N900
I had to download it twice. First time, installation failed without any reason: "installation failed".
2 remarks: - It took few minutes for the application manager to pop up (no indication that the download was in progress). - The application manager says that the application is only 13KB! Apart from that: great game! |
Re: Secret Exit to release games for N900
Hi
I had the same problem about the memory on where the game was downloading. To solve it i pressed the "Download" for a while and choose the option "save link as..." and then i choose MyDocs. It saved a file of 45 / 47 megas with a strange name and with the HTML extension, but once connected to my pc, i changed the extension to "deb" and run the file on my phone and it worked. I hope i helped. (sorry my bad english) Great game ;) |
Re: Secret Exit to release games for N900
Application manager reports the size of needed downloads and since the game is already downloaded it gets mixed up... i think :)
|
Re: Secret Exit to release games for N900
great i cant try and download it again. says ive reached my limit. for fuvk sake
|
Re: Secret Exit to release games for N900

this worked. i actually tried this after the first time and left it there then tried other things. never thought to change the extension. tank god it was still sitting in my phone. changed extension in windows and worked fine. why the hell would it want to download a 45mb file to rootfs before it even tried to install... and for the other guy i think it was 5 times. hope i dont need to try again. |
Re: Secret Exit to release games for N900
I'm glad I read this thread through to the end, otherwise I would have closed microB before the download ended. As it was, the game installed flawlessly from the Ovi Store :)
I had this game in my old iPod Touch before but here with the N900's resolution it just looks glorious! Seems to play just as smoothly too! Kudos to Secret Exit!! |
Re: Secret Exit to release games for N900
Bought and pressed download but no response. Pressed 3 times in total I guess and after a while got error message saying not enough space in rootfs. But then the app manager started the installation, and the size info was 13kb, too. Wonder if it was a corrupted file but went ahead with the installation and the game ran fine.
In short, be patient! IMO, Microb should show an notification, or at the very least OVI Store web page could display a message like "Downloading application..." |
Re: Secret Exit to release games for N900
Hmm I'm kind of wary to buy this due to the mentioned problems. Will there be updates for this package? How can we get them? Or be notified?
|
Re: Secret Exit to release games for N900

Re: Secret Exit to release games for N900
Downloaded and installed flawlessly, app manager took a bit long to open after clicking download though.
The game itself is very nice, graphics are amazing and gameplay is flawless. Good job :) |
Re: Secret Exit to release games for N900
Getting all kinds of error messages! "Unable to Install." "Try different location. " "Deb file corrupted" ARRGGHHH! What to do?
|
Re: Secret Exit to release games for N900
And now it installed.. whatever. This is what is so confusing to a layman like me. How can a thing that is just zeros and ones in a row act so differently from one moment to the next... :D
|
Re: Secret Exit to release games for N900
Bought and downloaded without any problems, the only odd bit is the long wait between clicking "download" and it actually doing anything visibly.. you're not sure if you clicked it right, if you need click it again, or whatever. Installed with no problems and played through a few of the stages/wooden thingies.
The game is not really what Im into, if Im honest, but I purchased it to show support to Frand and his team. I hope it does well and encourages Secret Exit to bring more games to us :) Also I wanted to hear what kind of music a Ghost Monkey would make. |
Re: Secret Exit to release games for N900
This game is a testimony of how powerful the N900 really is.. The graphics and physics are great.
I wish someone made a more actiony game that utilizes both the power and the fact that it has a physical keyboard for fast-paced gameplay. ________ BIG DICK VIDEO |
Re: Secret Exit to release games for N900
yeah and battery drain is huge, i will play only when charger is nearby :D

Re: Secret Exit to release games for N900
This game is beautiful in both visuals and sound. Worth every single penny of the 4.99
|
Re: Secret Exit to release games for N900
Just purchased Zen Bound
Great game and I hope there are more to come from Secret Exit and other developers. Just remember when you purchase and hit the download button on ovi, it does take a while to download in the background before going to the application manager. So dont think it didnt work. This is a very good marketing opportunity for any developer also because even though the N900 isnt the most popular device out there, there is a large number of people using the device and the N900 market is virtually untouched by official developers. Great Stuff, please keep it coming. |
Re: Secret Exit to release games for N900
Also another thing to mention is that if you do get any error messages or problems when installing the game. Please just try it again, I got an error message on my first try after pressing the download button about 4 times yet when I tryied it again it installed with no problems.

Re: Secret Exit to release games for N900
One hint (that worked for me): Get User Agent Switcher for firefox, put on a N900 user agent and you can browse the Ovi Store just like it was from the phone. Do the buying procedure from there, and just transfer the .deb you get to the phone manually later.
I'm saying that cause seems most of the issues are with actually getting the deb and the weird errors that come up. By just transferring the deb later the installation went flawlessly here. (ps. if this some how facilitates piracy, please delete the post, mods!) |
Re: Secret Exit to release games for N900
just bought Zen Bound! awesome graphics and audio.
what other games will Secret Exit bring to you in future? |
Re: Secret Exit to release games for N900
Bought it too, thanks guys! Great work. Great game. Keep 'em coming. I and many more will buy them for sure. I just hope the volumes are big enough to keep it interesting for you.
