Have to check that out :)

I kind of got finished the rest of the aero-serie, so there you go:

First I want to say: good work!
especially the aero-variants

But I have two suggestions:
1. When selecting the internetconnection, the text of the list entries is much to big
2. There is a bug with bigger buttons (or is this wished?):

http://img692.imageshack.us/img692/6...0031121433.png
i mean those horizontal lines...

The latest version of all variants of D-Theme can be found in the first post:

http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p=540900

You can download the deb-files from the links under each screenshot and install them by opening the deb with the application manager.

Re: [Announce] D-THEME -serie

easiest and safest way is to enable extras-testing repository and then install from app-manager.

1) can you post a screenshot. Mine is looking like this (see attachment).

2) looks weird. What program is the one that screenshot is taken? That looks like a dialog-window, not button.

Edit: okay, that nr. 2 is the evil stylus-button-bug. I'll fix it in the next update :)

White and light themes are impossible to create to be a fully workable through all the apps on the phone (calendar being the biggest pain in the but). Sorry.

Yep. I can vouch for that. After trying for a week to find proper combinations I just gave up. There is a light theme in extras-testing called nuvofre that comes very close, but it has a few bugs as well where it either has white text on white background or the other way around (I can't remember).

#2 (stylus button bug) is now fixed and version 1.0.0.8 uploaded to extras-testing.
#1 is still a mystery to me since I don't know what you mean. Font size is default all the way the theme, I haven't changed that.

But isn't Nokia's own (terribly messy) BlkWhite theme, despite some lack of contrast, an example that this can work? I for one would welcome a well-thought black on white theme which works better in bright light than black.

Otherwise, thanks for the themes - they are simply the most elegant ones that I've seen for N900 anywhere.

sorry for late reply

here is the screenshot:
http://img127.imageshack.us/img127/2...0031519090.png

i don't know, why the text is so big...
(maybe because it is so short and gets zoomed to the available area? just an idea...)

EDIT: noticed the same behaviour at another point - the yellow notifications; just to compare:

Well if you install that you can see the same things that are impossible to get over:
- calendar event view has white text that cannot be changed into a different color => white background won't work since you cannot read the dates and times (white on white)
- top bar has white icons (wlan, battery, network indicator) that are hardly readable on white background

So what if we change just the background to dark? Let's do that, then we need to have the basic font being white so that you can read stuff from all other programs. Cool, let's do that and keep white top bar and white buttons.
But wait a minute, we need to have a dark top bar because it's good to be able to see the network strenght etc. So let's make the top bar also dark and change the font over there to white but let's keep the buttons still white. Wrong! Some button texts uses the same color that top bar font has so we cannot have even the buttons being white since the top bar has white font :-D

Case closed :-P

Really, really weird stuff going on there. Never seen like that. And this problem only occurs with my theme?
Can someone else confirm the same issue? It would be nice to get this fixed, but I really don't know how since my phone is showing all the fonts just fine with right sizes and everything.

ok, now it's really confusing...
i just tried some things, switching themes, restarting device several times, and after some time, the bug was gone...
weird... xD

so, just forget about it^^

D-THEME AeroBlue

Your AeroBlue theme is great, because I think it's great when a relatively large amount is transparent. :D

Could you possibly change the blue on how the Nokia Nseries theme, because this is more visible in the black background.

If you opens SMS, up to me in a relatively dark blue "No talks" and in the email program when you are on the new email is my own email-address to dark blue!

EMAIL

In the statusbar at the brightness setting you see it bad!
And the yellow circled back to the NSeries Blue!

Stausbar
http://www.bilder-upload.eu/thumb/04Mwpi8OGhHWYKm.jpg

It will only improve it so that everything can be better overall view and make no criticism of your art themes. I personally would find it with the blue from the theme Nserie chic and eventually you could even change it or create a AeroBlue II.

Re: [Announce] D-THEME -serie

Thanks for testing Dr.MZ! So basically what you want is a brighter blue on some fonts? That's doable. App manager icons I'd like to keep the way they are and also the brightness indicator. I like to have it lookin same as buttons.

If there's something dramatic to fix I will change the blue at the same time.

Hi, I really like your SimpleBlue theme but do not like the orange in the SimpleMaemo. (I like flat themes)
Is it possible to make a SimpleMaemo theme but with no orange? Like SimpleGray? =P

Yes, a brighter blue would be quite an advantage. I personally like the blue of the Nokia NSeries theme very well and this is also seen great on a black background.
Otherwise, I still noticed no bugs and I hope that you when you have time to make the color changes could be.

Well, tried it and no... looks ugly since that blue is completely different hue than rest of the theme.

Would have thought that it looks great. :(

And the bright blue what is the status bar in the volume bar gets displayed when one sees or selects something. In the screenshot, for example, the DUAL-BAND button. This ought to fit perfectly with the theme and also stands out better from the background.

http://www.bilder-upload.eu/thumb/04Mwpi8OGhHWYKm.jpg

This color would be better suited for the current selection in the brightness applet. (see red and yellow markings).

If I could I would own something brilliant you do not ask, but I can not! I hope you feel irritated and not on the new idea of time are thinking. ;)

Is it possible to create better visibility for the brightness applet, the current selection color in such a way as for the volume control or network frequency.

For we have for this app can go directly in the status between the 5 stages. Unfortunately, the current selection will appear very dark. (see screenshot, red circles)

And what do you think about the proposal in post 145?! :D

The proposial is good, I've already done the changes but I'm waiting if there's something else to fix also at the same time. I also don't want to waste my five votes which happens if I upload a new version to extras-testing. I want to have this version to extras if there's nothing more to fix and then upload a new version to extras-testing where I've done suggestions you made earlier.

Can someone suggest a theme for the weather-forecast-applet that has a more transparent background?

All widgets on my desktop are bright blue with this new theme but this applet is still dark - even after a reboot.

Thanks for the springlike theme, it fits well to the sunny weather here in Germany! :)

Edit: Ah, it seems that I confused the OMWeather widget (that supports different icon themes) with the ForecaWeather Widget (which doesn't support different themes). So I have to live with the black blob on my screen...

Love the bright blue theme, it's just right. A great summer theme, thanks D-livil :)

*edit* one request : the highlight colour seems to be a very faint orange which is difficult to distinguish from the base font. This is most noticeable in the email inbox, where it's very hard to see at a glance which emails are unread (orange).

Could you make it brighter ?

Thanks

Sure. I thought it was bright enough, but it's not a big deal to saturate it a bit more :) Thanks for testing.
