Weird, I've put the bios files into home\usr
renamed them to lowercase, but BIOS is no longer loading.
Wonder whats going on ? worked previously in previous version when it was in MyDocs

i managed to load up tenchu 2 looks full speed 1 problem its not responding to key inputs :( any help?

you mean home/user ?

be sure that the bios file is exactly called: scph1001.bin

remember, EVERYTHING is in lowercase! (even the extension of the file!)

Normally I don't care about automated, RSS based content theft of my blog. (You know what I do to those thieves. ;) )

But this http://my-maemo.com/index.php?p=6403 is just plain human-based plagiarism. All these big news site aspiration with "My Maemo" name... LOL

When/if you redo the gui, just make a setting to change bios dir paths :) or maybe a "choose bios" setting, and then you find it by browsning, in the same way you browse for games :)

Great work smoku! Maybe you could collaborate with the Pandora community that is also getting along porting psx4all to the Pandora which has similar processor and OpenGL ES 2.0 support as the N900. http://pandorawiki.org/PSX4Pandora

i just found you need the following bios files for driver, nfs, gt

(scph1000.bin)
(scph1001.bin)
(scph7502.bin)

makes them "run", but they crash after SONY intro

After sony intro? then you didnt get them to run :) because the sony intro is only the bios as far as i remember, just like when you start up a computer, just because it shows its checking ram and finding IDE devices, dosent mean its running windows until it shows windows loading ;)

Thank you, nice work indeed. Just tried with abe's odyssee and it runs very good, just one thing i cant get to work is sneak button, i have tried every button on my keyboard/sixaxis but can't get the dude to sneak :) original sneak button in game is R2.

He still seems pretty active judging from his YouTube profile. And the PSX4ALL on the Pandora seems like it is almost at a 'testing/devel' state.

Thjis is how i mapped the keys: Q for up, Fn for left, Z for down, S for right, down arrow for x, enter for circle, that button above up arrow for triangle, and that button above left arrow for square. You need a little bit of time to get used to it, but when you do, you'll have a lot of fun.

runs pretty sweet, plays ff7 quite well so huge bonus there :D

just a couple a questions, wheres the file for mapping keys dont have a .psx4all folder in home/user/.

other question is the memory cards, put them in home/user with the bios ff7 says they arent there but another game says its unformatted, so im unable to save at all, ive made sure they are named correctly and all lower case.

any ideas?

WOW!

Runs Raiden 1 & 2 very well for a first effort!

Plays with sound at about 70% speed. My dream of Raiden 2 shooter action on a phone sized device is now a reality :)

Looking forward to updates! 2D games perform better, since no 3D to bog the cpu down. Be nice to see 3D GPU support like PSEX on the PC. N900 level PC's play a lot of games decent with the GPU doing some of the 3D work.

So far I'm very impressed how this emu runs (stability aside). Gran Turismo 2 has graphical glitches when viewing the cars btw.

All in favor of smoku dumping PCSX for PSX4ALL say AYE!

Out of the gate, PSX4ALL runs better.

How can you edit the keys after the initial install set-up?

go to /home/user/ in xterm, and write "rm .psx4all".
then you can reconfig keys at next start up.

Again problems with sixaxis mapping. :o

In a game the right direction key goes back to the emu menue.
The action keys are wrong mapped.
Deleting the config file and remap doesn't fix it.

I have an german qwertz mapped device. Anyone with the same problem ?

Unless GPU assist is created for 3D, looks like 2D games are the best bet for games to play well. That being said, I have a list of games that would be nice for the N900- if we do get an update that has GPU support- I have my 3D fave six:

1. Dead or Alive
2. Crash B Racing
3. Devil Dice
4. Tekken 3
5. MDK
6. Tobal 2

As far as the keyboard input is concerned, some may not be practicle, but I can try ;)

Once for all: No root access is ever required for normal application use! Including PSX4All and PCSX-m.

You will get into troubles (ie. permission denied) if you ever try running apps on root.

Hi, on the first page we can see Tekken 3.:eek:

You confirm that this game is working? (fast... slow.. whatever! as long as it's working! :D)

just cause I have been trying to get it to work but just crashes on mine. (I'm using the latest version of the emu.)

This is not a hardware issue. The issue is the software. As has been explained in NUMEROUS threads on this forum.

The better question is why when I'm driving a car with square wheels is a car with round ones faster. (should be a rhetoric question)

Doesn't matter the engine you have under the hood, if you don't have the right wheels. Make sense?
