Dont bother with the torrent just go download it from the link given on here in an erlier post, i am 97% now after just over an hour.
And from what i can see on the net if you google it is it works with English language as well so it looks like the real update from Nokia.

They have to be asking themselves though, assuming at least part of this is real (people claiming that the menu has changed like it should, and some of the PR1.2 features are confirmed) we are looking at one of two possibilities:

1) This is a legitimate RC of PR1.2 - who leaked?
or
2) This is a legitimate RC of PR1.2; that a malicious user has put in some nasty stuff in the background. - Who leaked? And what did they do to it?

I have just opened the file and i can for sure guarentee it IS a Nokia update and as Josh said it looks like the full official update from Nokia but still not sure if it will be the same as the one everyone gets when it IS eventually available.

And it's stuff like this that makes me lean towards the "not so nicely modified PR1.2" option that i mentioned above.

Those that flash this need to realize that someone very well could have put something in it to.. record phone calls? send data/information/etc? any number of bad things.

I'd be very wary of this.

Still awaiting SS's.

This isn't unprecedented. There were way too many people with pre-release Diablo builds and they were loosely circulated. That's one reason Nokia is paranoid about the process.

I tested almost every US image during Diablo and it was sometimes hard to sit on exciting stuff-- but that comes with the job. Still didn't stop me from tossing out vague bones now and then though, along with the requisite "hee hee hee". :D

They would say that no matter what to cover there ***, for sure there will be some argument IF this turns out to be THE official update for obvious reasons, and i want to make sure he is telling the truth and has indeed flashed his N900 with this update because upto now no screenshots as yet.

There's no way it's official abill_uk. That requires a formal Nokia release... not a download off of some unknown guy's random server.

Install at your own discretion with the understanding that Nokia is in no way responsible for any subsequent issues. And no, that's not a "defense".

Well @texrat. Looking at how people overclocked their devices, I see people flashing their devices with this "download" to be no harm provided the uploader HASN'T tinkered anything with this...

Afterall, N900 is about being crazy, right?
