Well you need to contact @tlaukkanen he answers all tweets or on the projects submit a ticket with the issue, this is the best way to get sorted.

All my contacts so far have not had issue with it, it could be specific to your phone setup

To all those who find their latest Twimgo stuck at "please waiting"
Please check ur user name password combo.
make sure ur user name and password are in the right case. i.e. if ur twitter handle is normaltusker then ensure u type the username as normaltusker and not Normaltusker.
I am telling this because i faced this issue and it resolved this way! :)

I got this "please wait..." when I fired up Twimgo QML while I had no network connection.
Even when network came up, still Twimgo let me wait... I had to restart Twimgo.
IMHO Twimgo is in very early state, it not only does not request for network connection as all the other Maemo apps do, but there are many small bugs and flaws to be resolved. Try to use the search feature several times in sequence, or press the "load more" button multiple times... Twimgo gets confused easily.

Nevertheless Twimgo looks really fresh and THX for developing it. Twimgo could become the number one Twitter client!

Ok easy solution: check your username and password case. twimgo starts with uppercase username. I had to force it to lowercase.

Any word on when this will hit the repos? I have no USB socket on my N900 right now so can't reflash, so being over cautious with what i install

Ok qml version is awesome dude. Kudos again. I ve got two requests/questions. First, it would be possible to implement a portrait keyboard? And second, when Im browsing to someone I cant see his followers/followings but only his tweets, do you plan to add this feature?

Also I want to mention something again. When Im trying to write a capital greek letter an english appears. I ve met this bug again on several applications for maemo. Do you know something about it?

thanks worked for me... looks pretty good app. i am using witter but annoyed by it connecting to gps all the time...

You know that you can switch off locational services in witter?
It still opens the GPS module for a aecond or two then but immediately stops afterwards.

For me Witter sucks at the moment, barely works, huge drain on battery and i just dont like the new UI

Once TwimGo gets the auto refresh which is due this weekend by the way all going to plan, that should make it the best twitter client on N900 IMO

I've download 2.6.1, it looks great and fast. Excellent work.

One thing I'd recommend is to remove the "Loading tweets..." message when unnecessary, for example, when going from a tweet to "Show Profile".

I'm testing Community SSU and with the last update, TwimGo stopped working :(

./TwimGo: error while loading shared libraries: libQtDeclarative.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory


Any workaround?

Just installed 2.6.1, wow, absolutely amazing! One small problem, when I press settings nothing happens. Sure there's nothing I'm missing out on but thought I'd report it in case anyone else is experiencing it!

the author said the menu entry "Settings" is just a placeholder. Don't worry, its functionality will follow in a later release. He also promised to add saving and reusing search words.

Awesome Application! Very eye candy and all around just amazingly well done, best twitter client imo!

I have one small problem with it, the first time I load the app, it shows profile icons, but the second time around it doesn't. I need to restart my n900 if I want to see the profile icons again.

Any clue?

twimgo qml version proves that QtQuick is progressing and with help of the Qt crew in and outside Nokia the developers finally has a great UI platform to play with.

So for **** sake Elop if you kill QT/Quick or Meego and go WP7 Nokia is for sure doomed!!!!

I hope the development on qt progressing even faster now and I also hope the engineers inside Nokia is working like hell with qt-components for Meego this week too show a real killer UI demonstration on MWC!! Hopefully that is the reason upstream qt-components in GIT are freezed... also it seems to be a war inside nokia who makes the coolest UI based on qt-components cause it looks like the symbian people also like qt-compoents alot of symbian commits lately soo it seems also symbian phones will get cooler UI in the future.

I've just upgraded to CSSU 20.1010.36-2maemo10 and again, TwimGo stopped working, and I've got again the "libQTDeclarative.so.4...." error.

So I ran again
and I have TwimGo back again.

Is there any interesting log to look at to try to figure out this behaviour?

MCSP is in Extras-devel repository. You can install it with your preferred application manager (HAM, FAM). Don't let the description ("If you don't know what this is, you don't need it") fool you. I don't know what it is exactly, but I do know I (TwimGo-user) need it.

hey guys u can now install the new version of twimgo 2.6.0 that uses qtquick.. its different.. u can find on his site here: http://www.substanceofcode.com/2011/...ed-tweets-etc/

I find that twimgo 2.6.0 works fine for without any lag. Twimgo 2.6.1 for me had a lot of lag when loading tweets and it crashed once closing the whol app.. i opened it again and indeed notice that lag cpu usage was 100% yet on twimgo 2.6.0 it loads perfectly and scrolling through was fluid unlike 2.6.1 u can notice the lag.. but all i all its a good twitter app.

If any of you want twimgo 2.6.0 just let me know.. FYI Twimgo now is a deb app not a widget since he converted it to Qt Quick.

Are you using fapman to upgrade/install anything?
If so, start fapman, tap the title bar and untick the third option (Autoremove unneeded packages).
TwimGo's package should depend on libqt4-declarative, and if it does, this shouldn't be happening.

Edit: and... it doesn't, please fix this, and use a valid email instead of <unknown@unknown>.
