There isn't one, unless the 0.8.* packages are still in extras-devel. Otherwise you'll have to fix the 0.9 version in -devel like documented in previous posts. Or wait until I fix a couple of issues and upload a new version.

I appear to have managed to fix the issue some people (including me) were having with location services not starting. I'm now continuing to work on waypoint infrastructure and will release a new version in the next couple of days. Sorry for the broken package ;)

How do you actually load that file into X-term? The rest looks simple enough.

Save the file, then run:

ldconfig

You should now be able to launch Columbus. If it still doesn't work, reboot your N900 and all should run. Hope this helps... :)

Hi this work for me! Thanks

You need to edit that file with a text editor. I use myself Leafpad (need to be installed).

So first in X-term:sudo gainroot (Rootsh need to be installed)

then:Leafpad /etc/ld.so.conf

Insert the lines and save the file.

Yeah, it's a real annoyance that problem, I've hopefully fixed it in the next version which I'll upload very soon ;)

or cant connect to pc suite and use the phone as a modem?

Yes, you need to select PC suite mode, and yes it will stop the phone acting as a modem. But wont effect USB networking, (not sure about the other things as I don't use Windows)

Ah, also, completely forgot, you need to select ttyGS2 as the other two aren't exported by the g_nokia driver.

Tq so much mate for the program. Liked the interface so much. A bit of a hassle to install though. I have rootsh installed but still giving me permission denied. Anyway, had to use leafpad to add the missing /opt/usr/lib. After all of that, it was relatively simple. Paired my N900 using bluetooth to my laptop. Tested working using Garmin MobilePC 5.00.70.
Looking forward to more updates/releases from you.

Sincerely,
-Scav-

Yeah, really sorry about the borked package folks, but I guess that's the nature of extras-devel :D New package should be up by the end of this week. :)

Are you in X-term with Root shell enabled? i.e have you done sudo gainroot before ldconfig command? Promt should be like /home/user #

Can you run it from the command line and let me know what it says before it crashes? :)

Like mentioned before in this thread, the current packages are broken, either wait for the new release this weekend or do the fixes manually as described earlier.

Thanks Tom, I got confused between i $ L. Now I'm able to launch the application, but the app is not connecting to satellite. Do you know what could be the reason.

Ah, seems you're one of yhe few like myself that suffer this bug, fixed in the next version. I'm not even sure what causes it yet, but I seem to have got it working again for myself. So when I put the new version up tomorrow I'd appreciate your feedback. :) It seems on some devices some times Qt Mobility Location API fails to initialise liblocation and there for the GPS :/
