hi F2thaK,
kindly change the font colours in messages. Sent messages font colour almost camouflages with the bubbles leading it to be unreadable even from 30cm.

Can you upload Version 2.6 please?

I do not want to change the bubble colours and the white writing shows best for the bubbles that I use so I only really want Version 2.6 and am not interested in the 3.1 changes :P

If you change to white writing web address will be invisible again.

I dont mind that bug tbh, because when you start typing an address it comes up underneath next to the google symbol anyways :)

v2.6 has the font change too. Ive added download for v2.5, see changelog to download.

Note the edit selection font will be white too making that unusable.

Ohhh, stupid flipping n9 with its one font only rubbish :(

Give it time, Ill figure something out. Problem is I cant make everyone happy. Different messaging bubble colours make it harder.

I cant seem to make any changes to the Web app, so I cant fix the address bug from that end.

Yeah thats fine mate, ima hang on, I prefer the blue green combo on the black background with the white writing :)

Ill hold on till theres a breakthrough in the font issues :)

Found another bug, this one is for the TMO reader app thats in the AppsForMeego program, it seems to be using your grey panels for text but still using a black font, making it hard to see what im typing :(

Attached are tow images image, one shows that the text here is black making it hard to see :( and the other shows that the menu writing is also black making that hard to read against the dark grey background. (2nd screenie)

Im almost at the stage of giving up.

It seems some apps are not conforming to the way themes are used. Some seems to be using their own set font colour and graphics.

It seems as of v2.5 the Clock app wont open too. I cannot figure out why and its doing my head in.

Its not a JOB its a hobby. If you make it BEAUTIFUL then awesome, if you make it good, thats great too.

Dude as long as youre not charging for this, there will be no relevant complaints, merely badly formulated suggestions ;) .

It is a hobby, but Id like to put it in the Store once its good enough.

Wont cost much and I'd probably have it on here free still anyway.

EDIT: can someone please test v3.1 and let me know if the Clock app works? BEWARE it may cause it to STOP working.

hi dude v3.1 has the clock app working. Dont take things so seriously, you are the first one who has come up with a good theme. Your efforta will allow others to do themes in the future. So your work is well appreciated and important.

Always amazes me how this community sticks together! Here was me thinking since the N9 the community was feeling a bit...empty.. but it seems its just as it was for my beloved N900 :D

Maybe what you can do is to copy the /usr folder of v2.2 then copy the v3.1 files and use themechanger to change the theme. By doing this I've had 0 crashes.

so the clock app doesnt crash. when its loading, does the black screen with "loading.." show?

also when you open the notes app, is the loading screen black mainly or white?

also are you using it as a seperate theme?

Hi ya the loading screen in clock shows for 3 seconda before clock appears..

in notes its a white blank background before your theme takes over in 4 seconds.

i've been using your theme since day one so had to the manual copy of /usr for it to work. The last i copied was v2.2's usr/ folder. I'd missed on the other releases and went to v3.1 where the meegotouch/ folder was copied yo ~/base. It then appeared on themechanger and works perfectly since.

somethings not right.

the theme isnt being applied properly.

on my device, before I reflashed, everything was right apart from Clock app crashing. the notes app loading screen worked (its meant to be mainly black with a orange header and grey footer).

but now, on my device notes loading screen is default, clock app crashes and fonts arent correct colour.

what am I missing??!?

with v3.1 the fasterdarker folder is meant to go into /usr/share/themes/, not /usr/share/themes/base. it used to work. even the older tested versions now dont work on my device. :mad:

hi what i did was copy:
cp -R /home/user/MyDocs/FasterDarker/meegotouch/ /usr/share/themes/base/meegotouch/

this worked in themechanger. i think this is the reason why you are getting problems as your v3.1 fasterdarker has a meegotouch folder. don't use the index theme file and just copy the meegotouch folder should do the job.

It seems we may have to overwrite the blanco theme files.

From the zip file, copy the folder, (not the *.theme file) to /usr/share/themes/blanco/

I need to do more testing to find the problem(s).

You may want to BACKUP, but I am adding a backup to the first post.



In order to get this working properly, I need people to give more feedback about this:

- what version
- how theyve installed it (as seperate theme in /usr/share/themes/fasterdarker, or overwritten blanco/base)
- does clock app run/crash?
- does clock and notes app have a dark loading screen or light?

Using winscp over wifi is just like using windows explorer.

Copy the folder "fasterdarker" to "/usr/share/themes/".

On the right is the phone. Navigate to /usr/share/themes/.

On the left navigate to where you extracted the zip. Drag the "fasterdarker" folder across to the right.

Reboot. :D

okay, so it seems v2.4 is the last stable version.. at least I have the clock working again. me has work to do!

Can someone *please* test this using Theme Changer and let me know if the Clock app crashes or not. No matter what I do now the Clock app crashes on my device. Reverting back to default Blanco theme it doesnt crash. Even with v2.4 it crashes. WTF? Everything else works... (I think!)

hi using v3.2 copying the fasterdarker folder to ~/themes works. I changed to blanco theme then copied and changed to fasterdarker.
the clock app works and everything is stable
