Re: [Announce] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread
Great updates Coderus... amazing job...
I have problem now that if chat with some person is still open and phone goes to standy (display goes to black) , i am not getting notification, no sound and if i unlock phone no notification at lockscreen , only in mitakuuluu minimized window i can see XX unread messages... And one more thing... if someone was not online and i sended message to that person , i see that message is away to server but not received...that is ok because maybe other side was without internet at moment, but next time when i get online in mitakuuluu, i get new message from same person , but status of last messages is still "on server..." and not "received"... Best regards Miki |

Please create an issue in public bugtracker: https://github.com/CODeRUS/mitakuuluu/issues
Remember to first check if same issue already exists there and contribute with more details if you have any to enable reproducing, finding and fixing the bugs. Check also that you are using the latest version available from https://openrepos.net/content/coderus/mitakuuluu before you submit any issues. It will also help if you can provide screenshots of issue or if you can test with with multiple Mitäkuuluu & Whatsapp clients to find out even the most unexpected issues. Re: [Announce] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread
I dont use whatsup myself but nice work there looks good from the screenshots :)
But would be even better if it could integrate with the chatsystem in sailfishos? Or maybe it already does? :) Havent read this thread just wanted to give little feedback on UI :) I noticed that there was a setting for change fontsize in chat. What about using gesture/zoom to change fontsize? I think alot more apps should use that behave, not only image gallery/webbrowsers apps :) Thanks for great work I am sure endusers likes this I hoper you can release it on harbour too. |
Re: [Announce] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread
coderus, back then I sent you the icon in SVG too. You can export it in any size lossless.
|
Re: [Announce] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread
That SVG available would be the best option. Mean while I made this vectored version from which you can export any resolution you want: https://www.dropbox.com/s/5w77ppps20...mitakuuluu.pdf

Re: [Announce] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread
The beers are on their way, donated some bucks ;)
Also, 2 suggestions i will like to expose, wish you consider it: 1- Can you align the text, to the right for me and to the left for the receivers in the conversation screen, instead to both to the left? forget about the bubbles, i know you dont like it, but what about this? 2- Maybe separate the open conversations (or the contacts who already talked with) in one screen, and swipe right to the "All Contacts list" like in Wazapp? I´m used to this. Or at least put a big separation line :Open conversations - Contact list with no conversations yet. Thank you for your work and happy New Year's Eve! |
Re: [Announce] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread
Updated to v0.1-13
Happy New Year! |
Re: [Announce] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread
@Hariainm
1. what about group conversation? how to arrange align then? 2. why? what profit? current ui have adaptation for Right-to-Left languages. arabic and other rtl chats displays aligned to right side. i dont want o make any UI changes now. I like current UI. In future you will have ability to make custom delegates for conversation yourself. I wont make any of it by myself :) |

Re: [Announce] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread
I just noticed that when there is long conversation scrolling is not working perfectly. When opening conversation mitäkuuluu will not scroll all the way down. Reason could be pictures in conversation?
And I also don't fully understand why there is "NEW MESSAGE" text in conversation right after you send message. I don't think it's nessessary to give note of my own messsage :-) edit: Looks like these problems occured only on one specific conversation. I made cleanup on that conversation and now there is no NEW MESSAGE notifications and no scrolling problems. So I believe this message can be ignored totally :D :D |

Re: [Announce] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread
Hmm, I enabled your OpenRepos and installed the application with pkcon install directly from terminal so the repository must be working allright in my device.
Shouldn't we receive notification about an available update the same way we did in Harmattan? Hmm, maybe this question belongs more to OpenRepos topic, but do others who have enabled Coderus repo receive update notifications? |
Re: [Announce] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread

Re: [Announce] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread
Emoji-stuff seems to work when receiving, very good. Is there any estimation when it will available for sending also?
"Taking a pic and send straightaway"-feature would also be very nice, any estimation on this? Thank a lot for the great work. |
Re: [Announce] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread
Hi everybody, and happy new year!
I just installed the latest version of Mitakuuluu (0.1-16 ) and it works well!!! Thank to Coderus!!!! Just a question : how can I sync contacts? Because every time I try it (sync all phonebook ) ,the Jolla told me : phonebook syncing started... And nothing happens.... Thank You! |
Re: [Announce] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread
I have a little problem with contact sync, people are in phone book ans i can select them to be synchronised, however they are not added to whatsapp contacts. i can receive messages from them!

Re: [Announce] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread
I guess I know what this syncing problems are.
There is no real Problem at all. Its just a confusion of the GUI. In this Dialog you don't really realize these boxes as some sort of checkboxes (or that you can mark anything at all) and the "sync contacts" lets you think it just syncs the whole contact list you just see at the bottom. At least this is how I was confused a short time at the first use. Three things to make it more clear. 1. Just deactivate the button without selection (should be done no matter what you maybe also improve) 2. Create a second button "Sync All" Rename existing to "Sync selected"/"sync selected contacts" (or just the renaming) 3. Use real checkboxes (and check them) that look a bit more checkable :D I hope this helps |
Re: [Announce] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread
1. you cant use Sync contacts button if you selected nothing.
2. sync all already in pull down menu 3. it looks ugly |
Re: [Announce] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread
1. That's not the case at least for me. The button is active and you can click it. The list than refreshes but nothing more happens.
2. Its true but you first just see the dialog and there it isn't clear how you should act. We all still have to learn to use or when to use the pulley menu (I mean we - the users). 3. Maybe yes. But I also dont't mean the windows style boxes. Really deactivating and maybe renaming the button should do the trick anyway. Also the last users going to play around than and knowing what to do. |
Re: [Announce] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread
The button is deactivated for me when no contacts are selected.
But it looks like it is activated. When you select and unselect an contact, then "Sync contacts" text looks deactivated too. That bug only happens once after fresh startup of GUI. |

Re: [Announce] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread
You are right after selecting and deselecting a contact the button is deactivated. But what do you mean with "deactivated too"?
The button looks at the start exactly the same like after you selected a contact. Closing and reopening dialog holds this deactivated state, but after closing or quitting the app and opeing it, it is in activated state again. |
Re: [Announce] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread
Thats what I said :D
|
Re: [Announce] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread
You should learn how to use Sailfish first, and not ask about essential things to be more essential.
