i found a bug in the new version.

there is no sound when the phone is on silent mode, even when headphones are used and the volume is maxed.

phone needs to be in silent mode for work etc. but should still play audio on command like built in media player does.

hope you can find a solution for this soon

I believe the creator is aware of this limitation and is working to resolve it.

It isn't a bug that is specific to this application.

I still have the issue with all the missing options when selecting (checking) multiple videos...I have uninstalled and reinstalled ;(

Thanks so much for making this app, it's literally the best Youtube I've used on Maemo. The only one complaint I have is it's a little bit of a resource hog... If you try to minimize the window and go multi-tasking, you see some little pixel kind of sitting around on Grid View of your open windows. The second you start doing something else, the audio gets completely choppy. And as has been said once before, it eats up about 30 percent your RAM almost consistently. I can imagine this being a bit of a headache when I get a text message or phone call. Is there anything that can be done about it? Otherwise, keep it going! This looks great!

In my experience, it uses about the same resources as the other media players when streaming YouTube videos. I think you're being unrealistic if you expect to multi-task smoothly whilst watching video streamed over the internet.

UPDATE (08/12/10 @ 7.47pm): cuteTube 0.9.7-1 now in extras-devel.

• Copy video URL to clipboard from within 'Video Info' window.
• Share video via Twitter from within 'Video Info' window. Twitter authorisation takes place entirely within the application and uses oauth.

I will be adding sharing via Facebook and cleaning up the UI for the next release. The menu is getting a bit cluttered.

Marxian, can you please add a menu for Downloads as well. I do not want to get online just to see this option.

marks cant even download the latest version i dont know wts up i as so eager to download this application
