I'm noticing higher battery drain rate as well, following the update. I was able to go 24+ hours with "my normal usage". Now, after update, and browsing for 15-20 minutes, following last night's full charge, the (stock) battery meter dropped to "7/8 charge". I could typically browse for 45-60 minutes before first change in battery meter....still using WiFi at 10mW.

That's the global firmware rather than the UK-specific firmware. Whether that actually makes any difference seems to be entirely unknown, and nobody from within Nokia is letting on.

When I installed the previous FW I used the RX-51_2009SE_2.2009.51-1_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin file which I guess is also a Global one rather than UK? Not had any problems with it.

Should I wait to see if Nokia announce anything regarding UK specific FW? Where do they usually announce this sort of information?

Update worked for me fine. I'm on Vodafone in the UK (but my handset is from the US).

Does anyone have a list of changes/updates from this OS Update?

After update my n900 reboot at loading desktop :X :X!
Reflash and problem has remained. ... now try reflash mmc ..
