Sorry for the long delay in the apps for meego. Apparently there was a server migration and all submit requests were blocked. They sent an email to resubmit the package, but AOL considered it as a spam so I didn't see it.
I have just resubmitted so it should be sometimes soon.

available under a CCZero licence in a xml file
(http://www.opendata.provincia.roma.i...2-e72c9767f471)

for example using feed the waze? http://feedthe.waze.hu/
but the reports should be updated every 10 mins...and change for example from heavy traffic to light...depending on the average speed mesured on that roads...

I'm afraid that its out of my hands. The navigation that include the realtime data (like traffic) occurs in the waze servers and the output result is what the client draw. There is also offline navigation (in the client) but it does not take the traffic into consideration

its working but launching from terminal give some errors (see txt attached)

can some errors be solved uninstalling waze , deleting MyDocs/.waze , and installing again?

If it is working, ignore the errors. If it doesn't work - make sure that you are connected to the internet on the first run.

O.k., if this is small, you might probably use yesterday's crash:

Acoording to the log, the network connection is fine - what troubles me is that it said that the temporary user id & password you recieved from the servers were not valid.

Can you please try to:
1) remove ~/MyDocs/.waze once again
1.1) Make sure you are connected to the internet
2) start waze and select English instead of Deutsch (later you can change it after the first run from the settings menu)
3) log in either with your waze user or skip login (this generates the temporary user/password)

The thing is that waze connect to a certain server depending on your location - i know of 3 servers: US, World & Israel. Your waze might have been a little disoriented and registered to the wrong server. The server is chosen according to the GPS location.
Have you tried changing the Maemo AGPS server to supl.google.com before running waze?

Re: [Announce] Waze for N900/N9/N950

Thanks for responding - here is a little report of my progress (I am using supl.google.com already):

Installing with English language selected seems to work better. I was able to reach the point where the lady sais "Let's get started..." and the route shown seems to be correct (I'm at home and not driving, so I can't really tell).

Trying to change language settings to Deutsch leads to the same sh... I experienced before. Because waze crashes immediately when starting to download german language files, I even tried to manually copy the files I saved on my computer to .waze/sound/deutsch, but that didn't help. There are 48 sound files in the german directory, I am not sure if that's all I need because they might be generated by an incomplete download.

I tried one more reinstall now keeping the language settings to english. Next time driving (tomorrow maybe) I will try to be guided in english language - I will keep you informed.

Back from the road. The good news is, waze does work now in english language. Well, mostly - it guided me correctly for 90 km and back home with its english voice and crashed only once when I left the route on purpose.

Bad news is, there is no chance to change the language settings to German. The attempt to do so leads to a dumb waze again while the lettering within the program does switch to german.

Could there be something wrong in the ./waze/tts directory? I find one file there called voices_was_tts.csv which contains two lines only - maybe there should be more?

Anyway, I will leave the voice set to English now as waze does work that way. It is not perfect, but better than nothing. I wonder if users in other countries have similar experiences?

Oh, and I should perhaps try to change the language to - let's say French - might that lead to another result?

good news. I have managed to reproduce so i'll be able to track the issue. In the meanwhile you should stick to the builtin languages: English or Hebrew. I recommend English for you :)

a possible workaround would be to remove waze, install an old release, dowload the sounds and upgrade to latest without removing the MyDocs/.waze directory.

:D A friend of mine is quite perfect in Hebrew, but I can't always take her along, so...

Isn't that exactly what the normal update was meant do do? I understand there is a chance for another working update, so I will wait for it.
