This problem http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...&postcount=155 has been fixed or not ?

N900 on idle mode still drains the battery more than 1% at hour when u-boot is installed ?

1% or even 2% to hour is a low consume but higher than normal drain which is about 0.5% to hour

I think only one correct way to measure current used is in mAh (or Ma as for current currently flowing), cause this % things is extremely flawed, considering different capacity of batteries used.

But when the consumption is 2 or 3 times higher, even with one night idle mode is visible.

It should be fixed, the problem was L2 cache being disabled by u-boot. Do you still have this with latest u-boot?

Maybe, I need to do more tests but for example today after about 12 hours of near pure idle (PKv51) I have only 83% battery left

On standard BL-5J? and that is supposed to be bad result?

If Your battery would still have 1250 usable mAh capacity (which it doesn't have, trust me on that), it would mean that for 12 hours You've used 213 mAh.

After simple calculations, it is 17 mAh per hour. Sure, totally idle device set up to be 100% power-save savvy, with only GSM on, eats 6-8mAh per hour. But, as You've said, it wasn't absolutely ideal idle.

With screen turned on, "ideal" N900 eats 100 mA idle. touching screen result in another ~40 mA power consumption. Doing anything on it, above simply tapping screen for fun, result in even more energy used. Considering all of this, Your result is absolutely in line with what would be expected.
---

If You have doubts, You can still submit what I've requested (powertop output).

Yes it is probably bad, I am not sure because I must do many tests before I can tell that the discharge rate is higher than normal or not.
Furthermore I am using now a very weared battery and I want to retest with a less weared battery.

However now I am at near 23 hours and I haven't used the phone so they are about 22 hours of full idle and battery left is only 64%.

At this discharge rate the estimated life is less than 3 days.
And even full three days of only idle mode are too few.

Have you seen calculations from last post? Your battery level seems absolutely fine. Especially, that I've considered fully-fresh battery, and as You've said, You're using one in poor condition.

If you're not satisfied with lifetime of standard battery - which is understandable - consider doing like me, and use mugen cover + DIY/bought dual-scud, which totals up to little more than 3000mAh capacity. Or wait/donate/pre-order to body replacement, which I supposed to have room for 2x 3,4Ah 18650's, totalling with 6800 mAh capacity.

In any case, it doesn't sound to be U-boot problem, at all.
