Hi all,
Newbie here, have been following these forums since early november..& the MPD customers thread as well from its inception (obviously i'm one of y'all)...just registered about 5mins ago.

Just wanna say this is really an exciting time, with deliveries just around the corner my only fear is that I dont get a bricked one! (i felt bad for nuknuk ). Got a call from MPD at about 6:30 to confirm my order (yes i am using a credit card for the upfront on a t-mobile £30 web n walk contract).
Immediately asked when i could receive , and he said the phone will be dispatched 2moro (friday) , after a little more quizing from me, he went off to confirm some royal mail info for about 30secs then confirmed i'd get it on saturday when shipped 2moro & not monday (however I dont trust him, but we will see! lol)

After the call a quick nip to the pc to see what my order status was had been pending this morning (i actually left my online sf4 battle running as i couldnt wait) and YOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO! it says ready for dispatch!

You gotta love MDP after all their messing about & me contemplating canceling my order and all, I was sooo happy to hear it was them hahaha! Crazy isint it...

Well technically it isint on its way yet, but it will be 2moro lol! The question is why do i have this feeling that something is gonna try to put a chink in my totsie roll? e.g the credit card company messing up, nokia annoucing another mandatory delay, or my fav...the end of the world by the stroke of midnight he he he!

My order has been in Ready To Despatch state whole day long, money wasn't taken from credit card and no call from MPD (although they might try while I was on the Tube). So, the game begins again tomorrow, fingers crossed for shipment and Saturday delivery, so I'd have new toy to play with for the weekend! :D

Ok, just checked my order, naturally still stuck at 'ready for despatch'. What are the expectations for today? Being shipped out this morning for Saturday delivery? Shipped out this evening for Monday delivery?

As always, F5 will be my friend the whole day long :D

Holy Cr@p! So there's still hope! You git, (joke) I'd resigned myself to the fact that it was going to be despatched today and I'd have to wait until end of next week when I got back home from my week away!

Did it turn up with your normal post or was it a man in a van job? I'm not far from the local depot either (about a mile by road I think!), so hopefully it'll still manage to turn up today.

Also thanks for confirming that your status still says "Ready for Despatch".

Also, does anyone know if we will get the sim card with the phone?

I ordered a voda contract and im keeping my number from o2? Will i be sent the sim card with the phone? and will my number stay the same the minute i use the sim card?

Did you give MPD your PAC code, if so I think they sort it for you. But it might take a few hours before your number "proper" moves over. I've only ever moved one number personally, and it was simply a case of activating my new SIM (it was with T-Mobile) then ringing T-Mobile and giving them my PAC number from Orange.

Which is exactly what I will be doing when my N900 arrives. Which, if it does arrive today, will save me a bit of hassle since my PAC code runs out on 10th Dec!

If MPD have despatched them in correct order as they say they would, then we know that everyone that ordered before nugget (5th Oct) should have their's in the postal system now, and it's up to RM to get them to us today.

The sim card will be in the box. I'm doing the same thing as you.
Apparently it takes around 12 hours from the sim first becoming active (ie inserted in the phone and powered on) for it to register.

Except I ordered 24th September and the money has not left my account.

So unless they posted BEFORE taking out the money (unlikely, although MPD seem incompetent enough) there is no chance in hell mine was posted yesterday. I live in hope they screwed up and did though.
