as far as i heard some pages ago, it's one of the trickiest Roms to emulate and therefore I wouldn't get too excited about playing mario RPG :(

I've always wondered what makes it so hard to emulate.

Hey when I play games my battery drains really fast, is it the same for everyone or just me? I probably couldnt play for more than 4 hours on a full battery. I play with no speed hacks and framerate at 25-30 w/ sound and accurate graphics.

yes. getting 4 hours is already quite an accomplishment. i suggest you force greater frameskips, disable sound, and disable zooming (save for simple 2x). If you know any underclocking or undervolting tricks, this is the place to test them.

So how is it going with fixing the SDD1 support, so that we can play Star Ocean? :)

Yoshi's Island is one of my favorite games and plays fine with fixed frameskip. Cannot tell about the rest of games as I don't own them.

Hi

Could you be a little more specific on this?

Yoshi's island is one of my favorite games too, and i've tried with about all different kind of settings but i can't get it to run.

All i get is a black screen when i try to run it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

Can you try it? Specially from command line ("drnoksnes your_rom_file").

Try what? Star Ocean with the latest DrNokSnes update? That's what I have done and it does start up. But it will not get past the part where it shows all companies involved (Enix, Tri-Ace etc).

It's the exact same thing that happens with "Illusion of Gaia" as well (can anyone confirm this, so I know that I didn't just get a bad copy?).

I'm sorry, but I don't understand what you mean with 'specially from command line ("drnoksns your_rom_file")'. Which might be because I don not have confidence enough in my "command prompt skills" to mess around with it. If I didn't just misunderstand you, then maybe you can guide me through what you meant and tell me how to do it?

It starts up for me and I can begin playing it. It is however really slow, skips a lot of frames and objects just disappear and reappear at random occasions. Have not tried it long enough to confirm if it hangs later on in the game though. (I gave it up temporarily, because the state it was in when I tried it was so flawed that it wasn't even worth it.)
