Ehh so I suck.
I don't know. I installed both packages. Now remembering the directions said you had to >.>. And it ran the commands as i thought it should. Seemed working that is.

So I rebooted. And nothing :/. I mean. I'd simply prefer just to start from scratch at this point and do it all over. But I do not know how to get everything back to the pre-screwed stage.
:)

TO SOMEONE THAT HAD THE ERROR "text 2 screen..."
Close the back of the phone ;)
I had the error without closing it .. :)

Guys... i got two big problem...
First...Multiboot menu appears ALWAYS, even with the keyboard closed... e this is very boring.
I thought it was an hardware problem... but with bootmenu-n900 that i had some hours ago... no problem like this :(
How can i solve it?

The second problem, that someone has already had (http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...&postcount=795), is about a big black screen with only a " _ " in the left above corner :(

I've even tried the advise of cricker:

Ali,
I had the same problem with 6.0 (big sky). Unzip the archive to /and and DONT install the kernel debian package afterwards--the kernel is included in the archive.

So haven't installed the pagkage nitdroid-kernel-2.6.28-05_final1_armel.deb ....
But not installing it ... the phone neither starts to load nitdroid...

EDIT: and watching some videos on youtube.... i've noticed that my N900 doesn't show the small symbol under the Nokia logo... that sort of envelop... :/

bootmenu always comes cuz theres a new app installed that changes kernels...

eg, when the phone is off, you plug it to the charger and bootmenu comes up.

it would let u pick which kernel do you want the phone to.

i pick the n900 kernel cuz nitdroid sometimes dont charge.

and for the _ problem, reboot and do not turn ur phone upside down or 90 degrees while booting cuz its gonna crash and u get the _ problem

Those are gyus living under stones or they are messing with other OSes. NITDroid doesn't require RnD mode since version 0.0.4 or something.

It should just automatically boot default kernel into maemo when keyboard is closed (the last used kernel) and when KB is open it should go into multiboot :)

Unless something has changed from the first version of multiboot too the new one thats the way it should work...

Will do. Currently I'm waiting for the phone to work with 3g (as it's pointless in my opinion to use this app with wi-fi, well not really, but it's full usefulness will be over celluar data), and once they have better 2d support as I imagine the player relies on 2d acceleration.

Once that is up, I'll be taking the plunge.

I'm of course goofing around with NITDroid now, but will only get the app once those two kinks have been worked out.

Mmmmm ... i have done the complete process descrideb by dj_steve ... but this time i've used the previous release, the which one witout 3d acceleration (like described in the first post)... than i've replaced the older version with the new one with the procedure of the second post...

Than i've booted without turn the phone like sepehrsfmech adviced me...
And finally it works :D

I don't know if it's because i don't turn the phone (but why should this make the phone crash? o.o ) or because i've used the older version and than i've updated... but work :) tnx to all :)

But... is that normal that nitdroid is full of lag? initial settings made me give birth because of waiting -.-

So can anyone tell me their experience using flash 10.1 with the new GPU accelerated nitdroid? Or better yet, upload a video?
