At least I'm hoping that's the case, because if mine wasn't despatched yesterday (along with all other problem free orders placed before 5th Oct) I'll be rather annoyed with MPD. Since they have said all along that they'll send them out in order date order.

Anyone else with the same status and a late Sept/early Oct order date?
I shall be severely p'ed off if the until is not disptached today given MPD's email stating preorders dispatch will be in the order they were received.
And before anyone opines about failed credit checks - the order is for their Voda PAYG deal

No, I pay £86.99 for mine plus the £3.99 P&P. That is why I think it unlikely they would let that slide.

the payg doesnt need a credit check :) - therefore no pending - i think a few people are in the same boat, so hopefully they just screwed up :) and forgot to update you :) - highly likely in the grand scheme of MPD cleverness :P

And as for first come first serve. The jammy sod lives down the road from the post office. Surely that can't be MPD fault? Oh wsait a minute, until I get mine evrything is MPD fault.

Yep mic works. Tested it with voicemail greeting on my old o2 sim. /Phew

To be fair to MPD (not sure why though - lol) they can only guarantee that the dispatch them in order, rather than deliver in order.

Gotta get as much work as I can done between now and when postie arrives (any time between 10am and 12pm I think). Now the problem is that as early as 4:30pm I shall be needing to drive to Brum by car. Just got through to MPD on the phone first time... that was easy! A friendly chap answered the phone too...

I'll be getting a call from the store sending mine out (ordered 10/10/09) - it hasn't been allocated to a store yet but will definitely be going out today. I should call back if I don't hear anything later on today... I did query the lack of "First Come First Served-ness" and he said it was "strange" but was very apologetic...

Doubt that helps anyone, but you never know :-) Now I just have to get through a day of work waiting for the phone to ring.

He said Special Deliveries are made on Saturdays so long as your local postie delivers on a Saturday... good job mine does!! :D

Gotta be at work all day today, but I've given my wife strict instructions to stay within hearing distance of the doorbell. She has to go out for half an hour to take my son to nursery school, and I'm damn sure (if it arrives of course!), it will arrive then...but I've told her to tell me if any notes are left so I can collect it from the post office on the way home.

I am very, very excited :D

I ordered mine right at the start of november and cancelled it and reordered again on the 20th as the sim free one was so much less at the time, hope i dont miss out on this first wave of phones because of it!

She can get it, well at least my Mrs has in the past. Although that was direct from the Sorting Office reception. She just took the delivery note with the details on and some proof of address. Worth a try! At least then it'll be waiting at home, safe and sound!

Where do Nugget and Lowrider live, that might give some idea of which stores have stock. In South Yorks, so nearest would be Manchester i think.

Maybe when peoples' phones do start turning up, they could post their location too? See if we can map the shipments to a particular store... some are evidently more efficient than others!

Congrats to all who have received their phone and all who may get it today.

I feel I am within the 2nd and at a push 3rd so called batch that will either be dispatched Friday/Monday to receive it on the saturday(maybe)/tuesday.

The reason why I think the above is becuase the latest date I have seen the dispatch change is the 10th November (I think, begginging of month sometime)

I ordered 23/11/2009 13:07:00 on a vodaphone 30+web contract on my debit.

Still - "Pending Stock"

I hope you all don't get duff units and they work perfectly, as I hope to myself.

On a side note, lets all pray that our N900's reach us safely in our hands and be the best handheld device for many months to come!

I'm in Leicestershire.

Luckily the n900 can import vcards, so i can export them from outlook :)
