Re: New members say hello !
chemical1der here. the N9 was my first Nokia device. I just bought a N900 and love it even more than the N9 (is that strange?) anyway, Android got me interested in the open source community and in my quest for more openness i found my way to Meego-Harmattan then Maemo. this is a great, great community. i'm glad to be here despite what looks like an ominous future for Nokia.
peace, chemical1der |
Re: New members say hello !

Re: New members say hello !
Hello, from Germany. I am using the N900 since two years. Before the N900 I used every Nokia Communicator since 1999. I have four N900 in reserve, because it is the world's best phone. I am a user only. That means, I do not now anything about programming. Thanks to all here, who are working on solutions and apps. I am one of the happy users!

Re: New members say hello !
Hello Maemo-rian's (?) - Joined the forum yesterday and am trying to join the club when I find an N9 to buy. Have been mainly a Nokia user, and even kept my N97 for 5 years... ready to move on!
Have been combing eBay, and posted an add on the Buy/Sell zone here. So hope to find something soon! -keatsfan |
New member says hello !
Forgot to say that I grew up in Silicon Valley, lived in Zurich for 5+ years and now am near Barcelona. Mobile plans and bandwidth kind of suck in Spain, but that's life... :) At least it's sunny!

Re: New members say hello !
Hey there,
I joined the Community almost one year ago and I really like it. When I bought my N900 last year I was searching for a PDA-like device with a nice and fast calender application. I didn't know about the NIT series and then I accidentally saw it on Wikipedia. I couldn't resist getting one since I was using Debian for a couple of years. Now i got my calender application...and I see, this is not the only thing the N900 can do. I will keep it and use if for ages. Thank you guys for keeping it alive :) |
Re: New members say hello !
Hi everyone,
I don't think I said hello before. So Hello. I have the N900. Which I love but was getting bored with it. I was able to renew my phone plan but could not get the N9 so I settled for the Galaxy SIII. Well 4 days later and I now have an N9 64Gig in my grubby little mits. If you are in Melbourne I know where there is one 64gig left. The dilemma! Do I keep the SIII and sell the N9? Keep the N9 and flog off the SIII or keep both with one as a back up and because this is the last Nokia be WP takes over? Yeah I'm sentimental not that I think it will be a collectable. Every phone bar my 1st has been Nokia. I'm not a programmer or developer, although I'd love to learn to program(maybe one day I will), but I loved the N900's interface so I was planning on using the N9 for a day or 2 to see if I liked it. if it had a keyboard it would be perfect. That said I love the SIII. I didn't think I would but I do. Chris |

Re: New members say hello !
Hello,
Thank christ for this site, without it my N900 was going to the knackers yard. It's now running better than the day I took it out the box! Now just got to hope that I don't get affected again by the usb port coming loose which killed my old N900 and has left it sat on a shelf gathering dust :( Keep up the good work peeps! |
Re: New members say hello !
Hello community,
I'm getting deeper into linux, mainly debian, and now have this great phone for my pleasure. Just bought a N900 from ebay and never expected such an active community behind it. Amazing how easy overclocking with kernel-config works. Overclocked to 900 Mhz and activated VDD1 and VDD2 today and it now acts so smooth. After that ED was on the task and now I've got a Debian chroot with LXDE in my pocket, how great is that? :D The more I get into it, the more I like it. conred |
Re: New members say hello !
Hello, I have an N9 and as much as I really love it, I also want to hit it with a sledgehammer at this point in time. I'm hoping that I can get some information/help here on this forum to prevent that.

Re: New members say hello !
Hello everone, I have a N900 three months, I like it very much, but I don't know how to operate it well. So I hope I can learn something about it.
