Thinking back (I don't use my N900 anymore and haven't been to maemo.org for a good while until the other day) I seem to remember having trouble with this using qbw so try quick widgets and see if that works.

Edit: Yeah, looking at MAFW Trackinfo thread, I had trouble. Look at my question (post 7) and try Harick's answer (post 8). I may have got qbw to work with those commands. I can't remember whether I used qbw or quick widgets sorry. You may have to try both ways.

These screens don't exist on my phone anymore, but all the screenshots that I have posted, have been on my phone and fully functioning before.
