At times Yappari does not show real "last seen" time. For example:- u c someone online then cut ur connection. later in the day, u activate ur connection, it still says they r online, when they r not.

hi, Thanks and appreciate for so much hard work u r doing to keep yappari active,,,i am using yappari 2.0.5..but the problem i am facing is it crash, everytime time i open yappari,, if i re-install also still it crash..i hardly can use it coz it crash after every few minutes.. thanks

Un saludos especial a todo el nuevo equipo de desarrolladores que han mantenido con vida este proyecto... y GRACIAS!

En esta oportunidad les escribo para hacerles conocer un detalle de mi Yappari que no se si solo me ocurre a mi o es algo general. En realidad tampoco es algo que afecte la funcionalidad de la aplicacion pero se los dejo para que almenos lo coloquen en alguna lista "to check".

Espero explicarme lo mejor posible... Pues ocurre que abro una conversacion, envio varios mensajes y recibo respuestas con sus respectivas notificaciones check,doble check y doble check azul. Sin embargo, si envio un mensaje del cual solo me aparece single check(verde) y cierro la conversacion mientras espero respuesta, al volver a abrirla TODOS los checks de la conversacion me aparecen en blanco, como si nunca ninguno hubiese salido del cel...

Solo eso...

Si es necesario subir el log para revisar esto dejenmelo saber!

Por ultimo una sugerencia... Seria posible colocar un mensaje de confirmacion antes de enviar un archivo de audio grabado desde el boton de audio de las conversaciones?? no se si solo me pasa a mi pero cuando el cel esta medio ocupado en otras tareas y le das mas de una vez al boton de enviar la app tiende a grabar un audio y enviarlo de una vez sin preguntar. Seria bueno un mensaje de confirmacion al igual que con las imagenes!

En la ultima versión, al seleccionar una imagen o video te muestra un preview del mismo antes de enviarla con la facilidad de agregarle un subtitulo, asi que no es necesario el mensaje de confirmación en este caso. Ahora con los audios me parece bien como está porque es una forma rapida de enviar los mensajes de audio sin que estar confirmando cada vez que grabas algo. Es mi opinión personal :D

it seem hanging is happening more often when connected to the internet than while unconnected. I am switching off internet connections to read messages.

In a terminal, start yappari (it should be in the path but to avoid issues): /opt/maemo/usr/bin/Yappari (return)

See if an error is printed upon the crash.

By hanging you mean, you try to open a contact and it "sticks" with the contact highlighted and fails to bring up the conversation window?

I have not seen any hang related to reading a newly received message i.e. the notification has shown the new message. If that has happened, and I click on it, the conversation window always has opened for me.

Yappari will retry the connection in 10 seconds.

I noticed that Yappari was crashing very often on receiving messages on muted groups: I saw in main window that a conversation was going on on a muted group and suddenly crashed;
now I unmuted all the groups, to see if it stops crashing.

Anyway, there is a reason not to show any kind of notification on muted groups? I thought muting a group affected only sound notifications, while it seems to "hide" the group at all.
