critical process 'service manager' exited 4 times in 4 minutes: <then something about starting recovery mode>

then the phone immediately reboots. I have also installed multiboot for the power-kernel (for overclocking) and i have 3 entries in my boot screen(omap kernel, power kernel and nitdroid).

Does this not work with the power-kernel? Did i do something wrong?

Thanks!

Does anyone know? I got Kernel Power 46 installed... I've reflashed my phone several times and tried it with and without mmc... and every time it always says "critical process 'service manager' exited 4 times in 4 minutes: <then something about starting recovery mode>" (this is after it attempts to boot android, and before then i always see permission denied, etc, etc.)

if i take the card out it boots fine with

ITEM_DEVICE=mmcblk0p2

but i would love to be able to boot it with the card in. so when i changed it to

ITEM_DEVICE=mmcblk1p2

it boots with the card in. problem solved!

I think the reason yours didnt boot with:

ITEM_DEVICE={INT_CARD}p2

is because you're missing a "$" and it should look like this:

ITEM_DEVICE=${INT_CARD}p2

as per the first post

Hey guys, could you help me please?

Recently i´ve done a full reset on my N900m reflashed Maemo and installed NitDroid Gingerbread on a Custom EMMC (21gb ~8Gb) using this wonderful topic. Thanks

I did all the updates, overclock and market fix. Everything OK.
So, i noticed that my battery is drainning too fast and this is one of the supposed problems to correct installing NitDroid on EMMC.

So, what have i done wrong? Is there any issue abou that or fix that i missed?
Or GINGERBREAD is not full working on BME?

should i install nitdroid 0.0.9? if i have too, how should i do?

too many questions, but i hope you guys can help me.

Sorry for bad english...

Thank you all!

I suggest you underclock your cpu to 250 - x because by default, nitdroid overclocks your cpu to 500 - x.

Thanks!
My overclock is set to 500 ~900 mhz by this guide http://forum.nitdroid.com/index.php?topic=116.0

i used the resonable overclocking.
should i use de Slightly OC or just change the current one?
if i have to change, what should i change? just the value of "scaling_min_freq" ?

The one here http://wiki.nitdroid.com/index.php?title=Changelog shows 3D and partial 2D graphic acceleration working since 0.0.6

If your Wifi is using WPA2 then thats a feature. Seems to be a feature of Andrion v2.2 as far as I can tell.

Using a fixed IP address might work (very annoying if you use more than one Wifi connection) or changeing the encrytion to WEP (for me this allows me to connect) or WPA. (doesnt help for me, but then it still gets detected as WPA2 or maybe my access point doesnt work correctly!)

However as far as I can tell andriod does not automatcally connect to Wifi! There seem to be many apps you can download from the market to disable and enable Wifi and to connect to particular ones

Hi everyone. What am I doing wrong. I've never been able to boot into nitdroid. I've flashed my phone 6 good times after bricking it all the time trying to get nitdroid installed, both on the mmc and emmc.

Right now I've followed all of these steps outlined above and when I boot, nitdroid starts and gets to where it says "starting pymaemo notification" and then sits there.

Nothing will happen unless I power shut down the phone. What am I doing wrong?

Yes and no. I read the instructions carefully, except that

Quote:

" Take a look at ITEM_DEVICE
if you're using an mmc be sure that: ITEM_DEVICE:${INT_CARD}p2"
Could have read "if there's an MMC in your device (it can be empty it doesn't matter), be sure that ..."

You know, to make it clear that as long as you have an MMC in your device, then that piece of the .item file should look as show.

I understood it as something the sdcard having to do with the installation or that there should be something on it...:confused:

I know it might be clear to you, but not all of us have English as our fist language or are that fluent in it :D
