So I wish you good luck for your future works.

As anyone in the Sailfish community i think, i really appreciated your effort in developing this app,
i'm still using it until i have major problem, like ban (hoping i'll be able to unban :P), since it is the best option so far for using WhatsApp on Jolla, and i'll wait for your next app (Y)

Good luck, Coderus! You're a great developer and I'm confident you will once again bring us a great new WhatsApp client in the new year!

WhatsApp, nas ne dagoniat! ;)

Re: [CLOSED] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread

Thank you for your work with Mitakuuluu. It was just amazing how fast you got Mitakuuluu working, it was like few days after Jolla release or something? WhatsApp has their terms and policies and that sucks, but it is not your fault.

Re: [CLOSED] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread

Any plans to resume the development of this app?

I'm still a proud daily user :)

Re: [CLOSED] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread

Interesting. Now I've never been blocked, but it says: "No cell routes by provider", or something like that. Apparently WhatsApp has found a new way of blocking people. :)

Same message here :(

Really looking forward to the new app!

Re: [CLOSED] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread

I 100% confirmed that mitakuuluu cant receive a single message, not all people, some can receive and but cant, the sender always show one tick.

PS. Test with many friends and found this
so I switched to use Android whatsapp

coderus 2014-11-22 09:43

Re: [CLOSED] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread

@TMavica because of encryption :)

Re: [CLOSED] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread

Today I also requested to register again, and like for other registration not work anymore.. Sadly... I like Mitakuuluu, but now need to switch to Android whatsapp..

coderus 2014-11-22 14:43

Re: [CLOSED] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread

you can't register in mitakuuluu anyway. only transfer whatsapp account to mitakuuluu.

Schturman 2014-11-22 15:07

Re: [CLOSED] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread

how? Any instruction ?

coderus 2014-11-22 15:55

Re: [CLOSED] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread

just run harbour-mitakuuluu2-helper, it will show your android password, and set it to dconf /apps/harbour-mitakuuluu2/account/password

If you will successful re-validate your password will you also be able to receive/send messagaes despite of missing encryption feature in mitakuuluu?

Re: [CLOSED] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread

Here's a How-To so that everyone can revive his Mitäkuuluu.. :)

How-To re-validate your Mitäkuuluu credentials:

You will be only able to revive your Mitäkuuluu with this tutorial if

- Your phone number is not blocked by What**pp
- You didn't reinstall/delete Mitäkuuluu so that Mitäkuuluu's config is existent (if not you have to execute ' dconf dump /apps/harbour-mitakuuluu2 ' and set your phone number and password manually with the ' dconf write ' command)
- You also won't be able to pass Mitäkuuluu's Android WA account import because this feature is broken in Mtäkuuluu

Once you get 'Login failed' in Mitäkuuluu DON'T re-register in Mitäkuuluu - otherwise your number will be blocked by What**pp and you have to follow this - but follow this steps:
  1. Install the official Android What**pp client
  2. Open the Android client and register with your number (=> Type in your number, wait until you receive the sms code, wait until the countdown inside the Android client runs out and then type in the received code)
  3. Open your terminal and run the command
    Code:

    harbour-mitakuuluu2-helper
to get your What**pp password shown and copy this password The password is just the last String without the country code and your number.
  4. Set this password with the command
    Code:

    dconf write /apps/harbour-mitakuuluu2/account/password "'your_password'"
    to Mitäkuuluu
  5. Delete Android What**pp OR just don't use it anymore
  6. Open Mitäkuuluu and be happy again

Note: You won't be able to receive private messages with Mitäkuuluu of all your contacts who are using Android because of the missing data encryption feauture in Mitäkuuluu! But you will be able to send messages to all contacts and also receive Messages of ALL of your contatcs in group conversations.

Re: [CLOSED] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread

I was looking at s40 source, it has a "crypto" node in "stream:features" when you login in 2.12.49, but it's gone in 2.12.52 (latest version I think).
Also I'm receiving messages from iPhone and Android latest version without problems.
I don't have a Jolla, but afaik mitakuuluu uses same method for login as whatsup (s40 source). Am I wrong?

Schturman 2014-11-22 19:44

Re: [CLOSED] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread

Uhhh, same here.. can't receive messages from my friends :(

coderus 2014-11-22 19:46

Re: [CLOSED] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread

@CepiPerez Mitakuuluu using WAUTH-2 (WA14 login). Afaik only android have enabled encryption features for now, and it working between android phones only. Have no idea about s40, sorry :(

All whatsapp clients are using wauth-2 now, the wauth-1 method has been deprecated last week.
But that's not my concern. Missing messages is what I don't get.

coderus 2014-11-22 20:25

Re: [CLOSED] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread

Yappari still using WAUTH-1 with no problems. Missing messages is if you're using android resource name but not implemented textsecure protocol :)

Re: [CLOSED] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread

I am not a developer and don't blame my question but I think there is no easy way to avoid this issue and to get a working Mitäkuuluu now to overlap the time until the new client arrives?! :(

So it's not possible to add some dirty hacks to be able to receive all messages again without implementing this encryption now?

I really don't want to use this crapDroid client now. :/

coderus 2014-11-23 13:09

Re: [CLOSED] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread

There is some, we can at least use WP7 or iOS resource while it's cients not implemented encoding features.

Is there any ETA of the implemantation of the encryption in WP and *OS?

So how exactly to add/remove which code and where to make it working for the meantime?

@willi6868
That doesn't work for me..after typing command you wrote and reopening mitakuuluu nothing changed.."registration failed!" again!!

coderus 2014-11-23 13:50

Re: [CLOSED] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread

@willi6868 i have no idea about WP/iOS/Other. we have no communication with whatsapp developers. For hotfix i'll prefer better features implementation, than just hotfix.

You mean my How-To doesn't work for you? You read it carefully?

I will send you a pm. ;)

So you recommend me to switch to crapDroid WA client now?

coderus 2014-11-23 14:30

Re: [CLOSED] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread

sure. whatsapp update for SailfishOS wouldn't be updated so quickly

malkavian 2014-11-23 15:35

Re: [CLOSED] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread

I won't use crapdroid client. If they block me for using Mitakuuluu I will stop using Whatsapp.

It works fine for me now, except that sometimes I cannot reconnect. Then if I close completely Mitakuluu and reopen some time after (tried with 30min as minimum by now) I get connected again.

I will write all my contacts warniong them that maybe I could lose my whatsapp account and if that occurs they can find me in Telegram, Gtalk or Kontalk.

So coderus, if your boat sinks, I will sink with it :D ;)
