Nope.
The reason why I am still using JollaC (with 2GB and bad bad badcamera) is exactly the flexibility of using dual SIM and SD card.
Big memory is fine (N9!) but I prefer 16-32G and flexible expansion via SD. (so I got me a XA2plus but not using it yet with unreliable SFOS).

btw the second camera is for zoom or other feature?

Not sure if the plans have changed, but Chen initially announced a monochrome sensor on top of the regular one, which should allow higher quality and performance in low light.

Any news about chen+device @MWC?

Not sure actually. It would be great publicity if they do. But who knows if the device will be ready for reveal at MWC. I have noticed a few different sites ran a story about the phone recently. All the same info based on the last newsletter that was released, but it looks like someone is doing some PR work. They need more exposure in my opinion

Good point I didn't think about that
I've never had a dual SIM setup so it didn't occur to me

then it's completely useless. low light camera is an infrared one or xenon flash. any other option is fairytales. too bad fashion made single-cam phones extinct :(

I have no experience with dual-sensor cameras, and therefore it is very likely that I might be missing one of the advantages of dual sensors, but I do disagree that infrared and flash are the only answers to low light situations. Taking pictures with a flash or without flash really are different things.

I'm not too interested about the camera on the phone anyway, it's just for souvenirs in my case.

Sorry but that's a hogwash. You wearing black clothes in a dark room would show glowing bright in infrared. I hope even you agree that that is quite a different result from a normal low-light image.

Absolutely.

I have yet to find ...or for that matter believe all the fawning over and phones with camera abilities beyond what a proper camera can do

There isn't anything yet that I know of that can compare to my cameras...
especially my pentax cameras.

to continue with OT.......
the thing is that, phone cameras are waaaay better then a fey years back and much better than I thought they will ever be. But...... almost no one use those phone taken photos for printing or 100% crop or anything related to serious photography. 95% of phone taken photos never see a screen bigger than the one on phones. So what's the point? What's the point of paying in range of some sony alpha 6xxx series which is, well, more compact with kit lens than modern phones just to end up with unsupported device some 18 months later and a camera that's nowhere near a real thing for half the price and 10x longer life.

We are doing a photobook for every year. And we started to add some of the pictures taken with my X. Well, not that we are using it full size as background, but still about the regular printout size 9x13cm.

I agree that quality is not the same, but sometimes there is just no camera around and for the yearbook the situation would be missing. Or it adds an additional perspective.

That being said, there is a reason for the components Chen is using. If I remember correctly, mainstream components are cheaper and easier to get. Seems that dual sensor is mainstream right now.

So you buying this phone for the camera? :D it's low-end by the time it gets out and that's fine I guess. It has a cam. nothing more nothing less.
