it still crashes even at 750 :(
but the thing is, midori works perfectly, is there a way to uninstall microb and reinstall it?

cool, thanks for the hint. Recompiled kernel with a just a couple mods for 125-800mhz, and sure enough, the little phone is nicely more responsive. Thanks to all the guys compiling and testing; was a little apprehensive myself, but meh, that's what makes this 'phone' fun to own.

Definitely pretty neat to run your own kernel...

So now I'm telling myself that all the time spent at 125 mhz counteracts the times at 800 :)

Is there any command in xterm to check the speed?

i've been playing bounce for 20 min+ on 900mhz and its very stable so far, it didn't even heat a bit. everything is normal.

also it doesn't effect battery life greatly, my battery is still on full after more than 40 mins messing with device on 900mhz.

ok I think I have found the fix for it, I uninstalled browser switchboard as per http://forums.internettablettalk.com...t=38600&page=2 and it works, weird :S

back to 800 again! rawr

You get a lot bigger power saving by a decrease in voltage, so i'm wondering if anyone has played reducing the voltages yet. Maybe i should start a different thread for the freaks that like to underclock. You know, those that grew out of the box-fan-strapped-to-a-case phase and look for fanless video cards and loyally read silentpc... :o

well this thread has certainly flourished scine ive been asleep!!

need a basic how to....
but if you dont know what your doing. then you are going to have to trawl around the web finding a fix. I dont really want to push too far and get stuck in a reboot loop etc....

Have beeng my N900 @ 900 mhz and love the responsiveness. Although it was still jerky while browsing and using the app manager to update a few apps. But this makes me wonder why was it underclocked so low in the first place?
