app manger didn't show me pr1.3 update.
so tried
apt-get update
apt-get dist-upgrade
got the update but again like others getting old version in settings?

I bought my N900 from UK but I like in Malta. How can I change to global version not UK??

you need to flash your n900 to the global firmware

Can you give me a good tutorial how to flash it to global please. I am not a total noob. Just want to know the basics

Lol, no one wants to answer this guy's question?

No turn-by-turn ovi maps. This firmware update was mainly for bug fixes. The only thing they added to ovi maps for the N900 was the re-route button.

got Maemo 5 update notification last night here in Switzerland. 87 meg download. upgraded to Version 20.2010.36-2.002
