Hi taixzo, I sent an email to your gmail address earlier/yesterday - when you get a moment can you have a look and get back to me? :)

That, or '00'. With some operators it does indeed matter whether you use '00' or '+'

When can we see the update? Is the coding competetion still holding it up? When will this be on the repos?

I'm just trying to figure out a bug where Pocketsphinx is basically ignoring all utterances and sending them to Google Voice instead. I figure I should have it back to working before uploading :).

Hello taixzo,

maybe this bug is an opportunity to implement a switch in Saera's settings screen so that the user can decide whether he wants to use an onboard solution for speech recognition (pocketsphinx) or a web based one (Google Voice)? The only reason i prefer the latter for now is the better accuracy.

Besides that, it's not always implemented as '00'. A '+' automatically substitutes for your countries' individual international calling prefix. The best option is to always store even your local numbers in that format (for travel reasons and easy exchange of numbers with other people)nbecause using the prefix and country code will not prevent local / in-country calls.

Good move - trusting the cloud for over-the-wire recognition
just lines the pockets of gsm operators.

And there are quite a few of us who pride our n900
on its self-sufficiencies, even if it is less than perfection.

I second the wish for a switch to choose between online and offline processing. Though I'd use it to disable use of google voice. :)

Maybe a stupid question, but how do I make Saera listen to me? It responses to (some) things I type in, but whatever I say is ignored (I suppose you say something after pressing the mike button and hearing the "metallic knock" sound).
The app was installed thru Faster Application Manager. Is it possible some packages are missing?
