I don't want to sound like Cassandra... but I seriously doubt Maemoexperts (who they???) know anything.

My bet: shipping starts next Monday. In Nokia stores next Tuesday...

considering the Maemoexperts website (http://www.maemoexperts.com/) isn't even registered I wouldn't put too much hope in the announcement!

I believe if it got anything to do with http://nokiaexperts.com/ they usually know what they are talking about. Thought it seems Maemo experts is based in UK and Nokia experts is based in USA so probally not.

I repeat. Is not only maemoexperts. Nokia told us that the DDP is like any other customer. And i have alredy paied my n900, my money has gone :D.

My bet: today or tomorrow is going to be available in a lot of places.

tissot: Nokia Store, Regent's Street. Staff are being trained up with the N900 next Monday.

Now, it's possible that on-line orders will ship earlier. But it seems unlikely that the phone will have widespread availability before the Nokia store gets it.

That said: if pre-orders ship today, and the phone is up on eBay tomorrow... well, let's say I will be very tempted to over-pay :-)

Ordered all the bits for my new computer last Friday.... The hard disk turned up this morning! sods law! .... so not only am i waiting for the n900, i'm also waiting for a whole new PC is bits to hurry it's *** up!

The store I've ordered mine N900 from here in Norway still shows 15th November as estimated shipping date. But that could change of course... Hopefully it will be out during November...

The last delivery i got from city link - about 10 minutes ago, turned up in a white van..... Not the usual Greeny-Yellowyness

Asked the guy why - he said extra staff rented in this week to cope with a massive boost in deliveries.....

Ah the plot thickens ;)
Hopefully Nokia stock keeps going up and i can sell soon and buy my N900 with Nokia money(thought profits will be about 230€ at most.

Sorry for my late answer.
The build quality is really good. The phone is very light but despite of this, the material seems to be solid. Internet was incredibly fast although it was on 3g coverage. I have an Iphone at the moment and I did not find any real difference in terms of screen quality. The debate of capacitive or resistive screen is absolutely pointless. Maybe I was lucky that day, but I had not experienced any lag whatsoever whilst I was browsing the OS.

I know .. Used to be a apple fan and had the n800 , but my interest has shifted to n 900 , ordered yesterday Nokia Uk and just see if I am a lucky one today :))))
