Order date?
Credit check date?
Credit/Debit card?
Phone calls from MPD?

I haven't seen my postie yet, I'm sure he's normally done by now! Guess there was nothing at all for me.

I hope he didn't try and deliver to the other number 6 a few houses down (yes stupidly there are two number 6's on my road but technically the one of them is 6 Albert Court, XXX Road, whereas mine is just 6 XXX Road!)

[Edit] Who would I need to ring to see if the post has been delivered in my road yet?

1: fully charged before turn it one?
2: turned it one and the fully charged before using?
3: use a bit then charge?
4: drain the battery then charge?
5: or put simcard in then charge?
Or I have to do anything else because I don't want any problems with mic or battery. Thanx in advance every one.

And I hopefully get my phone tomarow order 20/10 and had credit check and showing ready for dispatch. But no call.

I don't think you will necessarily get a call- only if they need to re authorise your card.

I was told this morning that they definitely need to re-authorise all payments if they were made more than 30 days ago...

They're calling everyone apparently that fits in to this bracket, so that's if you ordered before 04/11/09 (I think)...

Sheffield to Barnsley eh? That's quite a long journey for your poor postie to make!

Should ibe getting a touch concerned?
I ordered my phone on 10/10 on t-mob. I havent had any money taken and i havent heard anything from MPD, no missed calls. I paid on a debit card so wasnt expecting a phonecall (about the 30 day thing) but have i read correctly that the phones are coming from your local store? Who decides where the local store is ?? I'm in Swindon and we are in the middle of newbury, bath, oxford, winchester.

hmm.. I ordered 15/10, got the ready for despatch status yesterday and just noticed that yesterday had £2 removed by t-mobile again (first time was a few days after my initial order). Hoping to get my phone today, no postman yet!

Credit Check by MPD on 24th September (when I ordered), Debit Card, No phone calls.

Its annoying as it seemed I was one of the first to get Ready for Despatch yesterday.

T-Mobile have not done a credit check on me though as I already have 2 lines with them and when I called their customer support, they said I am pre-authorised for up to 5 lines. The ones who had T-Mobile credit checks should be people do not already have an active account with them.

I don't think my postman has ever been this late before :(

If it arrives tomorrow or Monday, don't think my OH can even collect it for me, since according to the RM website you need to sign the card they leave through your letterbox.

I started off by powering it on whilst charging, with my current o2 sim to check the mic was working ok.
Once that was fine I just powered off swapped the sim and powered on again.
It's fully charged now so will let it run down whilst i'm playing.

Personally I dont believe modern batteries need the conditioning thing that they used to.

Ok here is some clarity. They should be ringing everyone i would imagine because when they rang me they hadnt applied for any payements. The guy never asked for more details he just said was i ok with them still taking the payement from my current debit card. I also asked him to confirm the last 4 digits of card i used and he did.

Said it will be with me tomorrow

When did you order?
Contract or Sim Free?
Which contract: vodafone or T-mobile?
Payment: debit or credit card?
Current order tracking status on MPD page?

Would be interested to know since I'm in Yorkshire as well!!!!!

Maybe you would be better reading the UK thread- I noticed this has been discussed at some point- or even just the 'delayed again' thread, where more people have had their phones a few days??

Really? I was told this morning (caps so no one who is panicking misses this) 'ALL THE N900S WILL BE DESPATCHED WITHIN THE NEXT COUPLE OF (WORKING) DAYS. IF THERE HAD BEEN A PROBLEM WITH YOUR CARD YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN CONTACTED BY PHONE WELL BEFORE NOW, AND I CAN'T IMAGINE YOU NEEDING ANOTHER CREDIT CHECK'.

Well, obviously some do- but that was what the nice man said.I understand the re authorising thing is down to which bank your card is attached to.

Oh- the post comes from Sheffiels sorting office to Barnsley GPO and then out with the posties lol

I ordered on 29/09, vodafone 35, 18 month contract - been showing Pending despatch for the last day and a bit. No news, no calls (Payment method is missing on the screen), no t-mobile style credit check(But seems different on voda anyway) - 2 posties deliveries today - none with an N900 :(

I'm guessing monday now, as i rarely get saturday deliveries :(

I got a text from Vodafone at 9:45 this morning saying:
Code:

Thanks for choosing Vodafone. Your number will go live by 4pm, 7th December 2009. Please save your contacts. For help visit vodafone.co.uk/help/keepmynumber

My order was placed on 07/10/2009 and the order status is "Ready For Despatch"

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I also got a call from MPD yesterday because my PAC code had expired. I promptly gave them the new one and the guy said that my order would dispatch on Friday (today) and be with me on Saturday.

I hope this info is of help to people. I've checked my Debit Card online but I haven't seen any relevant activity. The only thing that they would be charging me for are the £3.99 delivery charges, though.

Don't worry- mine only changed this morning (16th Oct). I'd had no news etc either and I think everyone's payment method is blank. MPDs Online Chat is back on now if you wanted to ask them.
