The best way to upload photos here is just 'go advanced' in the message box, 'manage attachments' and upload.

No, don't do that! That's over writing the original hicolor ones.

Your much better off putting them here

/home/user/.local/share/icons/hicolor/.../hildon/

These icons will always take precedent over theme icons etc and so will always be used, plus your not messing any original files up.

Are you sure?

Have custom battery and wlan icons there and are "overriden" with icons from pleego-remix theme.

That's why you take a backup first. I want mine to override hicolor, and with a full /opt folder backup i can restore the originals at any time, it's not causing any problem. Besides, if you use theme customizer you only get the option of 'hicolor' or certain themes like black plastic etc.

no best way to do it is use dropbox , if you add them to post they look crap check your post when you have 3 in a row doesnt look good !!

Perfectly viewable though :) looks better than thumbnails that need to be individually clicked, and much quicker to upload too

ye good thing about clickable is if people want to see them then can click if not dont , that way you aint got lots off images loading for no reason !!

Neater, yes, agreed. I just hate clicking thumbnails and it usually results in less people seeing stuff properly, because it's hassle to click, go back, click the next one, go back etc, and it's also a chore to upload 6 images then copy each piece of code individually. I'll settle for a little untidyness over the extra time and inconvenience of the other methods

ppl I need a hand; so richwhite i've followed your explanation on filebox, i can put my icon in clipboard and go to the icon I wanne change but the actual change i don't seem to find. I can edit, then he opens note-app.I can delete and compress etc, but have no idea how to switch.

maybe because its bigger then 64x64?(its 99x100)
I need to read trough the QBW explanation again also.

I don't understand your post.
Don't 'delete' anything, just 'paste' and say 'yes' when it says to overwrite. What do you mean compress?

If you put in the 64x64 folder then it has to be 64x64 pixels, use picresize.com to do it.
Also, this has nothing to do with QBW

In filebox the top icon on the right hand side in the clipboard menu (in landscape) is the paste button mate, once you hit that it'll ask you if you want to overwrite. Also as richwhite stated the icons MUST be the same size as those you're replacing ;)

I think I do it right but I get a pop up that I don't have the permission(icon is 64x64) while I'm root.
i'm goona try again because gaining root was not the first thing i did.

In the filebox settings (on the right it's the second icon up from the bottom in landscape) scroll down and make sure 'enable root access' is checked, if you've got rootsh installed that's all you have to do :)

allright so I did it but something didn't went ok. I reboot to see the changes, I get a sec the nokia screen, then I get a pic of the pinguin, a bunch of info and as last line starting kernel.
And there stops my n900 every response, except pulling battery.

You need to re-flash JUST the kernel mate, you won't lose anything don't worry!

Plenty of people having the same issue, these are the reasons why you get warned about enabling extras-devel! ;)

I've seen and read it, but there is no answer to my question...
From this wiki I can create ONE button for ONE command..
I asked if I can create ONE button with TWO commands - for the play and pause... When I click first time, it starts to play and when I click on the same button a second time, it stops to play...
If it possible ?
