Ah, no. The question was put to them on the basis of whether PR1.2 would include something to solve the "Oh, ****. We can't make people pay for apps if they come from a repo" problem.

Yes. His boss, the Telnet Expert, outranks him, and when he's sick, boss can just telnet to port 23 and take over.

He also has a boss, also a Telnet Expert, Guru Black Belt Level, but he's the head of the department because he can e-mail with attachments via Telnet and alt+numeric.

OK not wanting to point fingers and embarrass people but i have been following this thread and several others for quite a while now and i had no idea that (based on what seems to pass for "humor") the average n900 owner was 10 years old.

seriously people either you know something or you have something genuinely funny to say about how pathetic we all are waiting for this mythical piece of software to arrive.

YES! and then i see its a 3rd party app and i take a look at my self and say "what are you doing" "do you really think this update is going to fill that missing piece of your life" then a little piece of my dignity and self respect dies forever then, a couple of days later it happens all over again.

I'm really tired of waiting for this update. If it doesn't get released tomorrow, i'm gonna re-flash my N900 (the phone is in very bad condition software wise) and convince my self this is the last update that i'll ever get from Nokia and check this site once a week then carefully decide what phone to get next!

On a pessimistic note, I personally think we should be taking the Nokia lead of moving on from maemo to meego..... I certainly would.....from nokia to don't know who yet :-)

That would explain the delay, wasting their time on folderol like this.

Maybe some Nokians cast their eyes on this thread, but I doubt if anyone reads it except maybe a few stray messages picked att random.

They are still here - but much less than before. I.e. vitaly_repin - the "MFE" guy - his last post was "03-04-10". Earlier he was posting at least once a day (and the “blame MFE” thread is not dead at all – people are still complaining a lot) being online nearly the whole time.
I think they are already focused on "MeeGo" - which makes sense being the new strategic direction - at the moment at least...
