It is something that should be in your router... wifi encryption is the password you type to connect to your router. In other words, disable the password of your wifi.

only u need to install setcpu program from market or as apk file then install it and open the program and choose ur speed and when u feel it's good u can make it run at boot from the program

i have my mobile overclocked at 1100 since long time and there is no problem at all and it runs very very good and games is very fast

I think you need to uninstall 0.0.8 before installing gingerbread.
So from the first post that would be everything under the section "Uninstalling Nitdroid:"

Then you install gingerbread using the instructions under the section "Installing Gingerbread to the EMMC:" all the way upto "Custom EMMC Images:" (dont do that section)

As for getting the bz2 file to the N900. Plug the N900 into USB, set it to "Mass storage mode". Open the drive letter that appears for the N900 and copy the files into that folder. Once you unmount the N900 from the PC the files will be in /home/user/MyDocs as the instructions in the first post expect.

Re: [TUTORIAL GIGA UPDATE] Do you smell it, do you? It's Gingerbread!

Great I got it! Thanks!

Two things:

1.
I needed the market fix.

can't install adobe flash 10 beacuse I cant find it

2.
When I installed nitdroid-installer it said "Abort." after I pressed Y.
I solved this by installing all the dependecies separately (wget bzip2 multiboot)

edit:

As I said I tried the market fix and some apps appeared, but still flash 10, angry birds, asphalt is not there. Any ideas?

I don't know if this has been asked before, but I've never had nitdroid on my n900 but I want to install the 0.0.9 version using the instructions given by the OP, my question is, do I need multiboot before I start all of this because I didn't see it being mentioned.

I never specifically installed mutliboot but it is now installed. I think it gets installed automatically when you do the "apt-get install nitdroid-installer"

the reason I asked is because currently I have Maemo 2.6.28.10power46-wl1 - with the drivers for faircrack, and I wanted to try nitdroid 0.0.9 so I was going to revert back to stock kernel then start nitdroid install from scratch but I also wanted backup menu and I special version of it is needed to work with multiboot

Ah! I started with stock kernel then added power46 kernel to multiboot afterwards as it says in the first post.

I suspect the first post assumes to have standard kernel etc.

Well I just successfully uninstalled Faicrack, icon and all, then I uninstalled the custom kernel so now I'm thinking if I should reinstall kernel power46 or if I should stick to stock kernel, I don't think I'll need it so I'm guessing it's safe to proceed to nitdroid 0.0.9 installation? by following EVERY step show in the first post, hopefully nothing else was assumed, that causes problems when people assume you know what to do

Installed nitdroid 0.0.9 fine, expect that i have process android.process.acore error at startup, and a bunch of other process errors.
I`have installed nitdroid couple times, but still i have that same errors. I`didnt use filebox to manually remove files, because i wasnt sure that should i remove whole bin, data, dev,etc.... folders, or is there some fix to those process errors

Re: [TUTORIAL GIGA UPDATE] Do you smell it, do you? It's Gingerbread!

Installed Gingerbread, overclocked N900 to 1.15Ghz. So, I used Quadrant Benchmark. Higher scores than Galaxy S and Droid X, but Quadrant did tests on 660 x 440? What?
Anyway, I think that HELL is cooler than my N900. For knowledge purposes, I´m good.

Returning to Maemo, waiting for Cordia, Meego DE and Omicron. xP

Alright, so I got Froyo up and running but how do I now install theHTC_IME_hi22.apk ? I placed it into /home/system/app but no results, kept crashing when I ran nitdroid

there was no /and/system/app directory on my n900

I do not know why

Got it installed though so everything is cool now

Use another overclock app. CPU Boost Lite is a good one.

Re: [TUTORIAL GIGA UPDATE] Do you smell it, do you? It's Gingerbread!

As someone requested before, what exactly should be removed in order to completely uninstall nitdroid, I'm asking this question because installing is important but uninstalling is just as important because not all of use want to reflash

Is it that we have to delete everything in "/home"

Because that's what it seems like, everything listed (sbin, etc (symlink) and so on) are all in here so just remove the entire thing?

No!

If you remove the contents of /home youll delete some fairly vital folders e.g. /home/user

Just delete the folders amd files listed in the first post under the heading Uninstalling Nitdroid. (not listed here in case this list changes)

My mistake, I didn't mean to delete everything, I meant to ask if to delete all the folders and files listed, e.g. should I delete the entire /home/bin ? and so on

I believe your response is a yes to this so thank you

oh and uninstalling multiboot involves running the following commands correct:?

sudo gainroot
dpkg -P multiboot

How would you partition a 16 GB sd-card if one would like to try Nitroid, Meego and also have storage base for Maemo5 and maybe swap memory stripping?
4 * 4GB paritions?

Important: It's for overclocked phones, if you dont have kernel-power installed then wait someone make this for stock kernels.

1. If you have uboot or bootmenu, remove it.
2. Install rootsh and leafpad
3. Download NITDroid rootfs from here.
4. Download NITDroid kernel from here.
5. Copy downloaded files to MyDocs.

6. Open x-term and do this:
sudo gainroot
mkdir /and
mount /home /and
apt-get install multiboot multiboot-kernel-power bzip2
cd /home/user/MyDocs
bzip2 -d NitDroid-0.0.8-Popov.tar.bz2
cd /and
tar xvf /home/user/MyDocs/NitDroid-0.0.8-Popov.tar
dpkg -i /home/user/MyDocs/nitdroid-kernel-2.6.28-06_final1_armel.deb
umount /and

7. Make the multiboot item as ammyt says in first post.
8. Apply FIXES postes in first post if you want

That's all. You don't need any SD card!

I have downloaded the NITDroid version 0.0.9 and its respective kernel linked in the First Post.
As I was facing some problems using that method, I wanna try this method.
Can you tell me what all changes I need to make if I want NITDroid 0.0.9.
Please reply.
