Have you not seen the dozens of post from people trying to do just that? ;)

You gotta admit that Jolla's tablet and a random phone shop are not quite the same thing. Jolla is currently in the seller's market with their tablet and they act accordingly. This may change soon™ and they may need to change their ways but until that happens, they would be silly not to milk it as much as they can.

I usually just call the webbshop. You can do it before. But it's better to first put the order and if the don't help you...simply cancel.

I don't want to cancel now, I just want a box with $300 in it, no tablet and no charger.

Jolla won't do that, they care too much about the environment to waste that much paper

Yeah. You might be on to something here. It intact be best for our earth if jolla ships nothing at all.

"we have listen to the community and decided to ship nothing at all"

Might be better than the current returns plan

'we will put your tablet on 3 planes and 6 trucks, but as you don't want it anymore just send it back'....

'but we care about the environment, so won't be including a charger' :p

I hope this was the Nokia 1020, because because that is that camera is the only reason I would buy a Windows phone.

I'm planning to invoke this rule if no more shipments before Christmas. Question is if visa or Mastercard step in in this situation. But I hope jolla get the tablets into one piece before that or make an official full refund available at Christmas.

Can't wait forever even if it's crowedfunding.

I can answer that.
No.

You cant. Sine you paid to indiegogo.
They are a thirdparty, handling the payment of Jolla.
Just like a travl agent handling for hotel/Airlines.

i can atleast try. But let's hope it won't come to that an jolla start pumping out tablets coming weeks...

What is up with Jolla? They are more closed than apple right now. Where is the communication, the "good" thing with Jolla? Nokia syndrome 2.0.

Very mature, thanks for the contribution.

I wonder why this thread hasn't been moved to off-topic already and is still spamming Active Topics with its mix of chemistry and geopolitical discussion.

Wrong. you should all stay on topic instead. Dont blame the thread for users behavior. ;) mods also do this mistake here from time to time.

If anything. Blame jolla...that's the reason why this thread is so long, still needed and the nice relaxed conversertion. Yes, this thread is needed until tablet is released. In this shape, here or in another thread.

That would mean water is wet AND dry, at the same time ? No wait. That just became wrong. Oh now it became right. Oh he.. I'll just wait ;)

Schrodinger's Tablet? Actually in quantum physics that matches Heisenberg's uncertainty principle, given It won't be delivered this month (inequalities, delivery date >30) and we will never know precisely the location of the tablet at a certain moment. We will not know both information AT SAME TIME.

Hope this is in topic.

Is water that is simultaneously wet and dry quantum physics or quantum chemistry?

It's quantum physics, despite the different state (wet/dry) it's still water. That's physics.

Why should I blame anyone?

First, I see no point in any blame games.

Second, there's nothing wrong with off topic, so why would I "blame" anyone for it? I love OT threads and I have nothing against derailed discussions (you can find some great ones on Reddit every day, so that's why I am not that blown away by this wet-water thingy), but don't pretend it's on topic, when it's not.

There's nothing wrong with this thread being OT, just like there's nothing wrong with this thread being moved to the appropriate forum. No controversy, no censorship, just moving the thread where it belongs and where everyone who loves participating in OT can find it.

Try to remove a popular thread on reddit and see how that goes, /r/undelete, /r/censorship, /r/conspiracy, you name it (then again, only certain themed threads end up there regularly interestingly)

Re: Discussion over the Design, Features, and Rollout of Jolla's new Tablet, Assuming that it isn't a Figment of our Collective Imagination

This whole policing of a discussion is sorta unnecessary if you were to ask me - and nobody did, so take my words with a grain of salt.

But that's the nature of communication. It's malleable; good conversation should be fluid enough to allow for off-topic discussions whilst waiting on updated information.

With that said... just allow things to progress as it has is my recommendation. Sure, it's off-topic, but once announcements happen, it'll be back on track soon thereafter.

I say good for him. He's still involved at Jolla, can pursue some things that Jolla wouldn't consider and he builds on his legacy that he's been building for years.
