You gotta admit that Jolla's tablet and a random phone shop are not quite the same thing. Jolla is currently in the seller's market with their tablet and they act accordingly. This may change soon™ and they may need to change their ways but until that happens, they would be silly not to milk it as much as they can.

I'm planning to invoke this rule if no more shipments before Christmas. Question is if visa or Mastercard step in in this situation. But I hope jolla get the tablets into one piece before that or make an official full refund available at Christmas.

Actually in quantum physics that matches Heisenberg's uncertainty principle, given It won't be delivered this month (inequalities, delivery date >30) and we will never know precisely the location of the tablet at a certain moment. We will not know both information AT SAME TIME.

First, I see no point in any blame games.

Second, there's nothing wrong with off topic, so why would I "blame" anyone for it? I love OT threads and I have nothing against derailed discussions (you can find some great ones on Reddit every day, so that's why I am not that blown away by this wet-water thingy), but don't pretend it's on topic, when it's not.

There's nothing wrong with this thread being OT, just like there's nothing wrong with this thread being moved to the appropriate forum. No controversy, no censorship, just moving the thread where it belongs and where everyone who loves participating in OT can find it.

This whole policing of a discussion is sorta unnecessary if you were to ask me - and nobody did, so take my words with a grain of salt.

But that's the nature of communication. It's malleable; good conversation should be fluid enough to allow for off-topic discussions whilst waiting on updated information.

With that said... just allow things to progress as it has is my recommendation. Sure, it's off-topic, but once announcements happen, it'll be back on track soon thereafter.

I say good for him. He's still involved at Jolla, can pursue some things that Jolla wouldn't consider and he builds on his legacy that he's been building for years.
