Hey, we're not all black belt kernel engineers with super power saving skills. ;)

Actually my great plan is to fix that. Sort of.

I cannot say more to not spoil the surprise.

And anyway some last minute hw / mechanics change might still ruin the attempt, like it happened with n810.

So I'll keep the mouth shout and the fingers crossed, but I hope to be able to announce - at some point - an interesting feature.

For almost any user.

In the meanwhile, yes I got carried away.

Sorry, that should be be :p not ;). I didn't mean it as an admonishment, only a jest. ;)

Are you the same Igor from the MWC web Q&A sessions? I was the one constantly asking about new Commies and NITs! Looking forward to both (and any hints as to when either will happen...)

What assumption? A single library can cause battery drain, the more libraries you have ,the greater the chance that one of them is bad. The fact that this happens with just 6 packages installed is pretty messed up, especially since I have had the battery drain problem before, at a time when none of these packages were installed(except for easyroot?).

. . and it wont be shipping in volume until well into 2010 and possibly 2011.

Besides, ARM announced the Cortex A9 months and months ago. The new announcement was for TI's SoC implementation of it, the OMAP4.
Yes, but my point is, is OMAP3 a big enough upgrade to warrant buying new hardware or should you just skip it and wait for the real meat and potatoes?

No, sorry to disappoint you.

Well, you first said that the battery drain is the most annoying part of the tablets, now that it is messed up for the problem happening with just 6 libs, or without those and only one other package installed.

Maybe it's like GA said and your AP has broken power saving. Or maybe you are installing broken sw. What's your point?

That was an interesting statement.

A brief glimpse into what might have been...

Clearly you haven't done much research on the OMAP3. I recommend you read up a bit (especially OMAP2 vs OMAP3 comparisons) then get back to me.

Looks like he is referring to preview 5. Check the thread.
