The app was installed thru Faster Application Manager. Is it possible some packages are missing?
Yes push the button and speak high and clear in the phone.
Hard say if you missing something but I doubt it. What version do you use? The latest one?

As an aside: even if dependencies were missing, it wouldn't be FAM's fault - both HAM and FAM are just GUIs that call apt-get commands (which then calls dpkg for the local stuff). Dependency resolution is done by apt-get and dpkg, not HAM/FAM.

Is ther any other services that have a good api other than Google Voice? Some of use are into the N900 for the long haul(I kept my Zaurus for 8 years with OpenZaurusOS) and Google drops services all the time, also some are Google phobic for privacy reasons. Too bad ixquick search doesnt have a voice input. Does Ask Jeeves have some voice input or maybe text translation from sphinx? It seems to be more natural language favorable if it still exists.

Do you think that "the" is the word, that will make difference? ;)

Anyway, first, he need to actually *get* (as in "have in hands") device from competition. Then, he need to setup developer environment, get used to it, and start coding.

I'm sure, that he remember about his promise to "see if it's doable" (don't forget, aegis may come as obstacle), and trying to make him "hurry up" won't help, certainly.

A much faster solution is if you get an n900. It's better than n9, you don't need to beg in this thread and you can use Saera instantly.

just downloaded all packages needed and installed saera. Quite a newbie here, so it took me an entire day to get everything together.:eek:
Anyway, when using the features said were available, like playing music, it said "music playing", but no music came on???

Hello, I'd be an honor to maintain it. I've finally got a new N900, so I can test it properly.
Regarding my old one, I'll try that MicroSD solution (and resoldering the broken USB), thank you for info.

I think that someone as already answered the question about "+" and "00" - I do usually say "+".

Was the media player open? Right now, "Play Music" should only work if there is a song open but paused. Relatedly: does anyone know how to make the media player open with a random song?
