hey Big Ash,

Next update of the faenza pack has icons for nes, snes, psx etc, but I also made a forca icon but don't have it installed.
Would you mind letting me know where the icons are and what sizes so i can add it to the next update as well please?

I'd assume they would be in 64x64/apps or 64x64/hildon, but who knows.....

The games along the top are all WebOS games for the Palm Pre via Preenv.

Watch your /opt space installing them though! I found an AMAZING little hack by Veleno from MMN (the italian TMO) which makes your MyDocs executable so I'm running them from there symlinked to /opt. http://www.maemomeego.net/viewtopic.php?t=1453

Yes mate, truth be told I was born in Rome and spoke Italian before I spoke English! ;)

EDIT: OK just had a look with translate and it seems passable, the main thing is to edit the two files so that the code looks the same as the posts, all you're doing is removing 'noexec' and changing the fmask value from 0133 to 000 each time.

Once you've edited the files hold down ctrl and press x then follw the prompts to save. I'd suggest re-opening the files as well just to check the changes had stuck once you're done :D

@richwhite i dont use the fmtx widget, i have the custom one, is just a on-off Qbee whit an old icon but i want to change it soon, the fm rds widget works good.

Decided to change the bottom row icons to maintain the aluminium/steel look of the screen, also changed the operator name 'n900' colour, and subsequently the icon reflections

@etuoyo that is desktop switcher widget but i change the icons, its send me to the desktop that i want, i have a desktop for each thing, for the music, for internet, for aplications...

@ricwhite that is fm rds notifi widget, but i change it to make it transparent.

Is is stable? I think i found the cause of my disappearing widgets was, unfortunately, desktop clock widget, so now i'm pretty cautious about widgets especially with the flipclock one as it's actually about 7.


Here's my updated mixed screen, wallpaper from D4rklar, top row is tools - stellarium, x term, conky and GeePS, middle 2 rows are games and desktop switcher widget, and bottom row is QBW stuff for OCing, profile switching, cellular/wifi strength, uptime and rootfs

Ah. I had no idea you could make the widgets like that. Assumed they had to be small box widgets the same size as desktop shortcuts.

Nope, if you go to edit mode and tap the spanner on one of the widgets you can set its size as big or small as you want (and do the same for shortcuts in theme cutomizer)

Okay thanks. Me and my N900 have been parted for about three months now (had to send it back to the US due to faulty usb port) and so have not been able to try out all the latest and best developments. Will have so much to do when I finally get my replacement in my hands.

Could you be so kind and tell me how you got the icons on the top of the screen? ( Your Battery icon, Temp, Wifi ect )
Cause ive been looking for a way to do that, since there is a "block" thingy there. And are they clickable? Or are they are part of the wallpaper?

Try this in xterm:
dpkg -L sygic (needs to be exact app/package name to work)

Should give a complete list/paths of directories it's installed in :)

So, let me just throw it in here... I love this little device, but I dread the amount of work that is needed just to make some simple customizations.

At the bottom of each screen, Nicolai's "Desktop Switcher" can be found (the four little circles). Devine Icons were made by iPapun. Al though they are not complete, it's the best I have at the moment.

So, ideally, all four desktops will look like the last one, number 4. That is, as soon as I found out where they hid the mediaplayer icon, the @scene, the contacts, the file manager, etc. If someone could point me in the right direction, that would be greatly appreciated.

If one could label them icons, they sure are quite big: 800x400,

I use the Desktop Switcher, written by Nicolai. I did not like to have my switching icons to clutter the available screenspace, so I decided to go for the more drastic, more permanent solution to integrate the graphics into the wallpaper. Luckily Desktop Switcher allows you to either change the icon graphic or make the icon transparent.

Which does make me think that I should ask Nicolai for the folder location of the configuration file where the position of the icons are stored.

That was a long answer to say yes, if you want but perhaps it´s easier to let me fix the whole thing first so I can share the conf-file for the Desktop Switcher as well...
