And the saddest thing is neither HTC, Motorola(especially after google marriage), Sony, Samsung or ZTE will invest in Open Source as it will just undermine their business (cry about closed parts, sure each of these companies will make their secret/patenty ways of dealing with 2G/3G open just for the sake of it, blame Nokia for closed parts, qwerty come back!!)

I think you misinterpreted the meaning of the gif. This thread, like the similar one proclaiming that Nokia should use the N9 as their flagship device, has long since departed from any sensible debate. The only thing left is ridicule. Hence I popped in, then quickly left once I realised there was nothing of value to see here.

Samsung might. We will have to see what they come up with-with Tizen.

Based on his wording, I think he's saying that Nokia lies about the quality and innovation of their products. I'd also argue that if you want to argue that Android lies about the openness of their operating system, you're naive enough to overlook the fact that Maemo is very closed in even more critical and system-dependent ways. This was also part of Qwerty's aforementioned rant. You probably missed that.

I think the remark is actually aimed at Microsoft, specifically Windoze.
