I'm not running a stock FasterN9 config (I've increased /syspart/system/background/ memory-limit to 128 among other things) but...
On my phone I mainly get failcnts from /syspart/system/desktop and I occasionally get them for /syspart/system/applications/standby

I've got a pretty big performance improvement in the works (not directly related to FasterN9) but I'll keep it hush-hush for now.

The reason I replaced noop for deadline in the last version is deadline had a better performance (really).

So, nice you're paying with these settings. If you want to share your improvements with us you're very welcome.

I also invite you to try the 0.9.7 version, it's very impressive. Hopefully you won't get a "device malfunctioning" when installing or uninstalling (I couldn't solve this occasional problem yet).

UI is still a little slow, much faster than stock version though. It lags sometimes, but not too often. One thing that bugs me is that folders now take a little bit longer to open than normal.

To summarise, UI is slower than 9.4. Not by much though. And folders take about a second to open rather than instantly.

On my phone it's instantly. Maybe one of the tracker processes is acting in your phone, try a little longer...

Re: [Testing needed] FasterN9

trying to install 0.9.7 gives me the same installation failed error as before.

I am again trying to rescue the installation back to 0.9.3, which was the last version that worked properly

then I'm going to uninstall it completely, and attempt a clean install of .0.9.7

EDIT: Yup, there ya go, finally. Uninstalling 0.9.3 finally let me install .0.9.7 cleanly on top. It seems to be fine now.

It feels a tad slower, but i've just started playing with it, I'm sure it will smooth out. Will give feedback later when i've had more time with it.

I installed the latest version (0.9.7), and the performance improvements are HUGE. Wow. I had been on (0.9.6) earlier, which worked fine for me with no problems, but 0.9.7 takes the party to a whole new level of speed and fluency.

I also overclock, by way of disclosure, to 1375 MHz and 1,375,000 mV, so my device is faaaaasssssttttt. Perfectly stable for weeks now, so the overclocking has been the same on my device for 0.9.6 and 0.9.7, and version 0.9.7 is still noticeably faster.
