Isn't that the same video we just discussing in this thread?

Not. Jolla use SWIPE. Fully. SWIPE started off screen including.
And i not speak about swipe handling. I speak about one special screen. :)
PS: SWIPE is handling, not UI. BB10 use SWIPE too. UI is MeeGo/Harmattan. :)

I can't believe, that Nokia owns that way of movin in OS? Same if someone owns PC mouse cursor.. not make any sense..

I don't understand why UI is made moving up and down? Why not side to side like N9 "meego"? Or maybe it is, because they don't want to use forward and back buttons, so left and right "swipe" positions are available all the time?

Well.. we can only wait and see, but we do not get Sailfish OS image after all, on the N9? Do someone has info about this?

Still not clear about it. Would it be UI, or just codecs and etc.?

Well, the openness of the UI is still a big question.

Other than that, things I would expect to be closed: audio/video codecs, some drivers, Chinese input methods, Flash (if available), that Android runtime and maybe some of the distinguishing Jolla made applications & maybe some third-party apps (official Twitter, Facebook, etc. apps).

I just hope they don't use the 3rd party apps from the N9 for twitter and FB, they were disgustingly horrendous, I mean the stock stuff

The only thing that I am exited about is how sailfish handles android apps. The rest seems to be same old. Simply look at this as an expensive demo toy. Nothing bad about that. You have to start somewhere.

I will all of the time! Imagine everytime you change your wallpaper you get a whole new theme created just to match that wallpaper, even in apps and keyboard, everywhere!

I see already a Profilematic_for_Sailfish with a rule to change the ambiance depending if the device is detecting the SSID from the office, home, etc. :D

It wouldn't surprise me since they designed it in the first place. You can see things from meego like the accounts icon, so certain meego/maemo legacies will go on, but not swipe parts

" SWIPE function" and "SWIPE UI" are two different things. "Swipe UI" is only trademark name. Realy is it "Harmattan UI". For me: "Nokia Swipe UI" = "Harmattan UI". "SWIPE" is hand gesture control.
Don't mismatch both to one.

From comments on gsmarena, engadget and other places many people say it looks like copy android with a touch of Windows Phone and peeking from BB10.

I wonder will the final product be different from what we have been shown in these videos
