Hi everyboby!!! I'm marcphemt, i'm from italy and i bought a N900 2 weeks ago...!! I love this device!! For 5 years i used always android devices, but now i'm learning a lot about linux and scripting :) i made a lot of script for my archlinux machine, and i ported some of them on n900...i m very happy with this awesome device!!!

I will post soon guides and scripts for n900..i hope to be an active member of this forum!! Our n900 is not dead!! ;)

My name is marcphemt and i m from Italy..i bought 2 weeks ago a used N900...and i love it!!! :D For 5 years i used always android, but i decided to try maemo because is totally based on debian!! In my PC i use always linux (Archlinux)..i love linux and it's freedom and i like to write lot of script for myself and for the community: i ve a github account and all you can find my works (if you want i can give the address ;) )..
I hope to be an active member of this awesome community, and hope that you ll like my works!!

Hola que tal ? soy nuevo en el foro, soy de Argentina y ando con ganas de comprarme un movil de estos, visite miles de paginas en internet y me encanto. pero tengo varias dudas. Como por ejemplo si todavia conviene que me compre uno de estos? si todavia hay actualizaciones de adobe flash, si yapari funciona ? y que precio tiene maso menos ? Hello everyone my name is Tony and I'm new to Maemo OS but I can say that I like it a lot. Currenly using the Nokia N900 and maybe that's the best phone I've ever used :)

Hello guys, just registered an account. Have been in n900 world for a little bit (2 years ago) , but then changed for a Lumia. One of those days I saw my N900 laying around, then I decided that using it again will be fun, so here I am.

Hey guys!

I am not actually a new member as you can see and have been here for quite sometime. But I found this thread today only and got used to Maemo Talk just recently. I love my N900 and because of this I actually learned more about Linux and how it works and the vast freedom that it gives. N900 tempted me to learn coding and compiling apps for Maemo. I would surely develop something someday and when I do, I will make sure it is available for this phone. This is an awesome phone and has an awesome community. I love to be a part of this.

I have made some posts by now and would like you guys to look into them and make some recommendations if you find them useful.

Hey people. I´m Shinebox and I still own and love my N9. It doesn´t show the profile pics nor the images i postin my facebook profile or notifications. It also doesn´t show my photos in the gallery or my album folders I would apprediate some help cause i´m no developer nor nothing like u guys, :o

So, it does not show any photographs in gallery, any music or videos in music player? Chances are the tracker stopped tracking. Chances are it does not have enough space to store its records-thumbnails, anymore. Is it possible to check free space on the device?

Hi, everyone!. I bought a n900 in 2013. Since that, I was looking this forum, but just today saw this post and decided to register.
Previously I had a n97 mini (still working), but gave it to one of my brothers. Two months ago I got a n9, and I am learning a bit of it.

I am glad to belong to this forum, and I hope to help somehow to the knowledge this community provides.

ahh, two weeks ago, my other brother decided to buy a n900 and is asking me everything. So I will do the questions here from my brother and mine.

My native language (spanish) is not english, so be patient with my poor english.

I probably can qualify now as a new (maemo) member, since I just received a box in snailmail, containing a beautiful N900 device, the first I ever have owned :D

The black shiny brick is now plugged in to charger, the amber light pulsing slowly.
I have not even turned it on yet, just savouring the look of it. :p

I was hoping to get some help understanding X Terminal and the cool functions of my phone. I would also like to factory reset my phone back to the moment it came out of the box.

I'm from Argentina and I've been lurking this community since I've my N900 (2 months). I've always wanted this phone, and just recently I finally decided to give it a try after my former HTC One X broke and HTC shoved me right up their ***** after I called the tech support. I thought: "Well, I should get a phone I could tamper with and get some nice support from community, above all things, right?" And so have gotten my N900.
So happy :)

General forums aren't the place to look...nor is asking in the welcome section...
Use the search here at tmo or google and I'm sure you will find whatever pertinent info you need.
Asking specific questions? ask in the sub sections like...."n900" or "maemo5 fremantle"...or even "applications" for (your specific) example... attributed to them and you will get speedier answers and help.

Hi,

I'm from New Caledonia.

I have a jailbroken iOS 6 on iPhone 4 (the last iPhone which has significant improvements compared to its elders ;)).
I'm impatient to buy the Neo900 and run Debian on it :D. That's why I follow maemo.org for some time.

Decided to register following my will to make a donation in Bitcoin, thus having to PM some members (I need 5 posts xD).

Seing an active community like this one is a pleasure, and I hope everyone will one day consider buying a linux phone as a true alternative to iOS and Androïd.
